Berlin Atonal | Music Festival / Event
The history of Berlin Atonal begins in November 1982. Founded at SO36 in Kreuzberg, the festival reset the clock for an entirely new kind of musical experience. Many pioneering musicians—such as Aru, White Russia, and Didaktische Einheit—used Berlin Atonal to present entirely new ideas about the possibilities of sonic expression. Throughout the 1980s, Berlin Atonal was a stage for progressive electronic and experimental music in Berlin. The festival came to a close in 1990 with the fall of the Berlin Wall.
