When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

CALDERA SONIC

A music festival held in Kanagawa Prefecture, aptly named Caldera Sonic! It features numerous hot bands from across Japan and is a popular event held several times a year. They’re also actively engaged in charity efforts to support recovery from the Kumamoto earthquakes. Since it’s hosted at large venues every time, not only is the sound excellent, but the sense of unity with the audience is exceptional as well. It’s an event you’ll want to join not only if you live nearby, but even from far away.
