Since immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, “LOVE FOR NIPPON” has continued to advocate the importance of “connections” between people and caring for one another through on-site support and events. Even now, on the 11th of every month—the monthly anniversary of the disaster—they visit temporary housing in Fukushima, hosting the candlelight event “CANDLE11th,” where they interact with local residents and light messages expressing hopes for the present and the future. Through this ongoing activity, simple and comforting words that naturally—and almost every time—come up, such as “This is fun,” “I’m happy,” “This is delicious,” and “Thank you!” have become the theme. In solidarity with this mission, and together with artists who share these feelings, they will host a one-day event to spend a joyful spring day together—following January’s event in Yoyogi Park, this time in Futako-Tamagawa! The program is packed with content for all ages: live performances and workshops, a food market that’s not only delicious but natural and nourishing for the soul, a charming goods market, and a flea market by LOVE FOR NIPPON’s starter artists.
