When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

The Hachijojima Jazz Festival is held under the same theme as the Konan Jazz Festival in Yokohama: a jazz festival by children, for children. This is because the person who serves as the executive director of the Konan Jazz Festival is said to be the founder of the Hachijojima Jazz Festival. It’s wonderful to see so many music events with such a lovely concept being held.
