When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

A day in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, where artists who play jazzy sounds gather. It’s an event that blends not only jazz but a variety of genres that let you feel the spirit of jazz! Admission is 999 yen (tax included).

HIGHBRID (Kariya Jazzy Jam)

A festival with the concept “Dance JAZZY, not JAZZ.” It stylishly showcases the next-generation JAZZY sound. Drawing on elements from the many genres the 2000s generation has listened to—jazz, rock, hip-hop, reggae, house, electronica, and more—it centers its concept around the axis of “JAZZY.”
