I went to see GUNS N’ ROSES! I’d like to share a bit here about the atmosphere at the venue on the first day of their Japan tour and my impressions.

Guns N’ Roses Japan Tour Osaka Show!

Hi, I usually write articles about manga.Shinya Ono @ Shin'yaIt is.
I also attended the 2009 show at Kyocera Dome, but this time it was many times better than 2009.
During the previous live performance, Guns N’ Roses (hereafter abbreviated as GN’R) consisted only of Axl Rose as a member.
Since I'm a big fan of Axel, I was satisfied with just that at the time.
But this JAPAN TOUR is different!

Exactly!
This time, the guitarslash。
basedDuff McKaganBoth of them have come back!
During the live show, I was so happy that I couldn’t help but cry...
I was surprised by how many people there were at the venue, and there were so many foreigners.
From Asian people to those in English-speaking countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom.
I also saw many other foreign fans.
It really shows just how incredible the fans’ reaction was this time.
There are also videos posted on the official Twitter showing the scenes at the venues in Osaka and Kobe.
The excitement at the real event is on a whole other level, but this is just for reference.

Another thing that surprised me was that there were many parents with children at the venue.
No wonder.
That group O., whose tickets are hard to get, whose merchandise sells out instantly, and which is highly regarded overseas.

I think it’s already obvious from the first image, but that artist is...

About Kyocera Dome, the venue
Kyocera Dome Osaka (formerly Osaka Dome)

As the slogan “a stadium of excitement and emotion” suggests, it is frequently used as a live concert venue in the Kansai region.
It’s also used for a variety of events besides live performances, and just looking at the schedule makes me think it’s a popular venue.
In 2006, following the sale of the facility’s naming rights, the name was changed from Osaka Dome to Kyocera Dome Osaka.
Personally, I still end up calling it the Osaka Dome.
Even after more than 10 years, it’s something that’s hard to shake off.
I think you can just check the official access page for directions.
As you’d expect from a ballpark in Osaka, the leading city of the Kansai region, it offers excellent access and transportation.
Public transportation like trains and buses is well developed, and there’s even a station called Dome-mae, so it’s not inconvenient at all.
I would appreciate it if you could check the official website for detailed information.
About merchandise sales
For this GN’R show’s merchandise, there was a Japan-tour-exclusive T-shirt, so I arrived at the venue three hours before the show to buy it.
When you think of the usual GN’R logo, it’s guns and roses.
The Japan performance, like the first poster,A sword with a roseAs someone who loves GN’R and also loves samurai, this logo is irresistible.
Just as I was about to line up.
A line where you can’t see the end at all.
The number of people in front of the merchandise sales booth.
I went to the back of the line with a faint glimmer of hope, but the remaining merchandise list had X marks on all the limited-edition T-shirts...
Someone, please get me an M-size T-shirt...
By the way, at the merch booth next to GN’R it was O.
A.
They also had BABYMETAL merchandise, but it was completely sold out—unexpectedly.
I get it since it was on a small scale, but this is incredible too.
It was the moment I thought this live show was going to be insane.
About the audience seating

I also took photos of the interior and such on my smartphone as a keepsake, but since I can’t post them here, I’ll explain using a simple diagram from the ticket purchase location.
My seat was an S seat right below the VIP section, so I thought it would be relatively close to the front, but the VIP standing area is quite large this time.
It was the most expensive section, but there were close to a thousand VIPs—no, maybe even more, don’t you think?
The venue is so big that I can’t even get a sense of how many people are there.
By the way, this diagram is for the arena seats only.
By the time the show began, the crowd filled up to the third-floor seats, and aside from the space left in front of the stage, it was almost a full house.
There were extra-large screens on both sides of the stage, so the audience on the third floor must have been able to enjoy it thoroughly.
An unexpected on-time performance!
Given what happened in 2006, to be honest, I was nervous that the start might be delayed.
Then, right at 6:00 p.m., the performance began.
Sudden blackout.
And, O.
A.
BABY METALThe stage has begun.
Personally, I wanted to see BABYMETAL live at least once.
As the backing band began to play, the crowd started a 'BABY METAL' chant.

Please note that the song at the provided link is not the one from the day in question.
01 BABYMETAL DEATH
03 Vixen
05 KARATE
06 Bullying: No. Absolutely not.
I felt like they misspoke and said Tokyo Dome during the hype, and looking at other people’s blogs, it seems a lot of others heard it that way too (lol).
Given the excitement there and the cuteness, it should be fine, right?
They have plenty of experience performing overseas, and they’re really good at hyping up the crowd.
Kyocera Dome prohibits jumping, but in true metalhead fashion they went and hyped up the crowd to jump anyway.
They dash around the stage and hype up the crowd.
Even though they’re still so young, I couldn’t help but be deeply impressed.
It was only 30 minutes, but it was the best O.
A.
It was.
And at last, GN’R’s performance begins.
The audience eagerly awaits the 30-minute stage changeover.
The venue still buzzes with the excitement from BABYMETAL.
The sound check and the final check of the monitors begin, and the audience erupts at each one.
Then, suddenly, the GN’R logo appeared on the monitor...
com/gunsnroses/status/822227612168634368
I got pumped up too.
The gun in the logo keeps moving.
Pistols, machine guns, and swords.
The limited-edition logo used for this tour plays on the screen right in front of us.
The venue instantly heated up.
And at last, GNR appears!

A non-stop performance all the way through to the encore.
Honestly, from a certain point on I was so moved that I wondered if it was a dream.
Slash and Axel stand side by side.
Duff and Slash face each other and play.
Three people stand side by side on the same stage.
I can’t believe I got to see it in Kansai, Osaka.
I was standing the whole time until the end, but I didn’t feel tired at all.
During the ballad in the middle, people in the stands turned on their phone lights and it looked like a starry sky.
I cried again at the sight.
I truly regret that I can’t send you the image…

For the curtain call, everyone lined up on stage, and the audience gave a standing ovation.
My heartfelt thanks to the members who gave me unparalleled emotion and excitement.
Lastly
A rare and valuable experience to see a band that rarely comes to Japan right in front of you.
Thank you to all the members who gave me such a truly wonderful day, and to the staff as well!
It was fun with fellow fans who helped make it exciting together.
Thank you very much!
