NAMBA69 / LET IT ROCK feat. JESSE

Akihiro Namba, who once sparked a melodic hardcore craze in Japan as the bass-vocalist of Hi-STANDARD, will again appear at Kyoto Daisakusen this year with his band NAMBA69, where he also serves as bass-vocalist.

They performed on the Ushiwaka Stage last year as well, treating us to a collaboration with JESSE on LET IT ROCK.

This year, their slots on the Ushiwaka Stage are scheduled close to each other again, so we might be able to look forward to something similar.

And don’t take your eyes off Namba’s set—10-FEET, the festival’s organizers, have been chasing after his back for years.

POT is a melodic punk band from Osaka.

Their catchy, happy songs are incredibly appealing and make you feel uplifted when you listen.

There was a period when they couldn’t perform live with the full official lineup due to vocalist-guitarist Yoshi’s health issues, but overcoming those challenges, POT will be making their first appearance at Daisakusen as a four-piece.

The five-piece mixture rock band SABANNAMAN will make their first appearance at Kyoto Daisakusen.

They’re one of the bands whose name we’ve been seeing a lot this year.

They graduated from university last year and signed with a label.

They played at the Kyoto Daisakusen eve event last year, and this year they’re finally joining the main festival!

SUPER BEAVER “Arigatou” MV (Band ver.)

The four-piece rock band SUPER BEAVER, whose orthodox, song-driven guitar rock leaves a very strong impression, makes their second appearance this time.

Their song “Arigatou” is a staple at their live shows, and thanks to the impact of the repeated word “arigatou” (thank you) in the lyrics, anyone who often goes to festivals has probably heard it before.

I’m from Nara as well and have been watching their shows since before their major-label debut, so I’m incredibly excited!

For fans, this dream-come-true band brings together their individual careers to deliver exceptional musicianship, outstanding taste, and an overflowing aura that makes for an overwhelmingly powerful live show.

They’re likely to turn the Ushiwaka stage into a live house again this year.

Kyuso Nekokami is a five-member rock band.

Since their major debut in 2014, their appeal has been their fun, poppy, and catchy songs, paired with lyrics full of humor that still carry a sharp satirical edge.

The targets of that sharpness are intriguingly chosen, and they’ve become hugely popular, especially among high school and college students.

This track is a particularly fun one, with a melody line that shifts and changes constantly.
