When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

MUSIC CITY TENJIN is one of the largest music events in Kyushu, held every September in Tenjin, Fukuoka.

MUSIC CITY TENJIN is the largest music festival in Fukuoka Prefecture, drawing over 100,000 attendees each year. It has been held since 2002 with the aim of revitalizing the Tenjin area and improving Fukuoka’s music environment. Performers are recruited through an open call, and applications are accepted regardless of performance style or musical genre.
