[2025–2026] Special Feature on Music Festivals & Outdoor Events in the Chugoku and Shikoku Regions

This is a large-scale event held every March with the aim of connecting Hiroshima’s city and sea. The venue features a rich lineup, including popular food and drink vendors selected from across the country—along with beloved local spots—hands-on maritime activities you can enjoy by boarding a boat, and events on Ninoshima Island. At the Minato Stage music event, you can enjoy performances ranging from artists with ties to Hiroshima to up-and-coming next-generation musicians. There are plenty of activities for families to enjoy together.

The Hofu Music Festival, held in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture at the start of the new year, is designed so that citizens can enjoy music casually. Under the title “Street Corner Live Concert,” there are free-admission performances at several venues around the downtown area, open clinics by wind and percussion players, and ticketed concerts featuring a full, star-studded orchestra with guest performers active in Japan and abroad. Sanuki Rock was launched by Su-xing-cyu, Tokushima’s “most tear-jerking comic band.” It’s a circuit-style event held across multiple venues in Takamatsu City.
