Ishikawa Music Festivals [2025–2026]: Outdoor Festivals and Events Summary

BABY Q is an indoor festival that began in 2019 and is held irregularly as it tours various regions across Japan. The “Q” in the title carries the idea of “CUE,” as in providing a cue to discover great music, and “休” (rest), wishing for the best kind of holiday. Centered on stripped-down, singer-songwriter performances, it offers a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere—perfect for anyone seeking a rewarding, restorative day off. The Monterey Jazz Festival in Noto began in 1989 as a friendship initiative through jazz by the City of Monterey in the United States and the Wakura Onsen Tourism Association of Nanao City. Due to this history, the program features performances by a U.S. all-star jazz orchestra as well as by Japanese junior high school big bands.

Named after the phrase “Kaga Hyakumangoku,” Million Rock lives up to its name as the largest rock festival in the Hokuriku region. With a solid, festival-worthy lineup, it brings excitement every year. Its major appeal is the large roster of stellar artists.
