Kanagawa Fest Calendar [2025–2026]: Music Festivals and Outdoor Events Overview

Local Green Festival is a festival held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse where you can enjoy music and plants at the same time. It features one of Japan’s largest green markets, bringing together botanical shops, a local food court using regional ingredients, and a venue transformed into a botanical garden—a true fusion of greenery and music.

This is a free admission event themed around Food, Farming, and Music, organized primarily by local farmers and centered on singer-songwriter Caravan. Although Chigasaki is often associated with the sea, its northern area features beautiful fields and greenery, and farming is thriving. However, illegally dumped trash has become a problem. Because the mountains, rivers, and sea are all connected in this region, the event aims to inspire a shift in participants’ awareness and help expand cleanup efforts. To protect this landscape and pass it on to future generations, we will share messages through music that encourage people to think about the environment. Why not enjoy locally grown vegetables sold directly by farmers and meals from food trucks, and take the time with your family to think about the future?

This music festival, held in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture—also known as a city of music—is a popular event drawing attention for featuring today’s hottest artists. It also hosts a newcomer discovery audition designed to support local performers, and the stage by the Grand Prix winner is a highlight. After the event, we recommend enjoying local gourmet specialties like Atsugi’s famous “Shirokoro” horumon (grilled pork offal).
