November Music Festivals [2025–2026]: A roundup of autumn festivals, outdoor rock fests, and other music events

Gojappe Music Festival is a circuit event held in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. “Gojappe” is a dialect term from the northern Kanto region that roughly means “careless” or “slapdash,” and the idea is that on this day, people forget their everyday burdens and let themselves be gojappe to have fun. The venues are bars, cafes, and similar spots.

Northern19, a three-piece rock band from Niigata Prefecture, has been hosting this indoor festival in their hometown since 2014. Known for songs that epitomize the melodic hardcore vibe, Northern19 appears on festival lineups across the country every year. Starting with its fourth edition in 2017, their Tokirock event adopted a circuit format held across two venues.

MUTEK is a festival where you can enjoy electronic music and digital art that began in Montreal, Canada in 2000. It’s an international festival that has also taken place in Latin American countries such as Mexico and Brazil, and it was first held in Japan in 2016. Centered around Miraikan – The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Koto Ward, you can experience performances by artists gathered from around the world at various venues. The music program The Covers, broadcast monthly on BS Premium, offers a unique twist: the guest artists perform cover versions of classic songs that are familiar to them. The event The Covers’ Fes is organized by that program. It will feature collaborative performances between artists that you won’t see at other festivals.
