Summer Music Festivals Held in Eastern Japan [2025–2026]

This is an outdoor festival held at Misaki Park’s Open-Air Music Hall in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. Many bands you don’t usually get to see outdoors will perform, making it a musically fascinating festival. It’s highly recommended for those who want to fully enjoy music in the Fukushima outdoors, and because the scale isn’t overwhelming, it’s also a great fit for people who love music but don’t have much festival experience.

a-nation, organized by Avex, is a large-scale music festival that has been held since 2002. With a lineup packed with popular artists, it continues to captivate many music fans every year. In 2018, the festival expanded in scale and was held over six days across four cities in Japan. The Tokyo shows took place over two days at Ajinomoto Stadium.

A free outdoor festival held in front of Tomakomai Station in Hokkaido! Kassei no Hi has been running since 2014. Through this music event, we aim to generate vibrancy and revitalize the downtown area around Tomakomai Station. The town center should be a symbol of the city and a source of pride. We hope it becomes a place where everyone can have fun and a spark that gives the younger generation dreams.

The Sagami-Ono Monje Festival was named after the French word “Mangez,” meaning “to eat.” It’s a cut above ordinary food stalls, as renowned local restaurants from Sagami-Ono come together to showcase their culinary pride and let visitors savor the flavors of exceptional establishments. The main stage—planned and run by these restaurants—also features programs by professional musicians that anyone can enjoy for free, making it a highly entertaining event.
