Summer Music Festivals Held in Eastern Japan [2025–2026]

Our concept is to explore what truly matters today through the wisdom and skills for living in harmony with nature, and the culture and performing arts that arise from them. The festival functions as a new community rooted in the local area. It is a new Earth Celebration where people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities meet and connect. Of course, Kodo is also a member of this community, taking part in more varied ways than ever—through Kodo Village concerts, EC Theater, fringe events, workshops, and Sado experience programs.

Sukiyaki Meets the World is an event that has been held since 1991 and is Japan’s largest world music festival. In addition to enjoying world music performed by professional musicians, there are a variety of workshops, making it a citizen-participation event. It’s a great opportunity to fully enjoy world music that you might not usually encounter.

A festival hosted by the music label Kakubarhythm, home to artists like SAKE ROCK, Kicell, and cero. Although it takes place at a live music venue, with so many artists performing, it’s sure to feel just like a summer festival for a whole day.
