Music festival held during the summer vacation [2025–2026]

This event is held under Toyota Ohashi Bridge with the idea of gathering various artists once again so that everyone can sing and dance together, just as the area beneath the bridge has long been a place for popular entertainment—kabuki, plays, street performances, sideshows—and for people to exchange information. Although it takes place in the somewhat unusual setting beneath a bridge, it may offer sights you don’t normally get to see.

Started in 1999 as Japan’s first full-fledged all-night outdoor rock festival, RSR is a large-scale open-air rock event that makes the most of Hokkaido’s vast landscape. A major feature is that you can pitch a tent and camp—chat with friends around your campsite, stay up all night catching live shows, or choose freely among the nearly simultaneous performances across multiple stages. Sonicmania is an all-night event held the night before the main Summer Sonic each year as a pre-festival. However, its momentum has grown into something far beyond a mere pre-party. With a lineup that fuses rock and dance, it offers new experiences to each community.
