Earth Day has been held as a global festival in 175 countries, promoting a zero-waste approach while inviting everyone to think together about the planet’s future. Since 2001, Earth Day Tokyo has taken place in Yoyogi Park, with the aim of creating a space where people can reflect on what they can do for the Earth through live music, talk shows, and shopping, while fostering mutual respect. Rennon Sound Carnival is a circuit-style event held throughout Kichijoji. Over 30 artists will perform live across six venues set up in Kichijoji. Since it’s a circuit event, attendees move between venues to catch their favorite acts, but one of the charms of this format is stumbling into a venue on a whim and unexpectedly falling in love with a new, unknown artist’s live performance.

ULTRA, one of the world’s largest music festivals originally held in the United States, has been held in Japan since 2014. Staged across the globe, ULTRA has become a major festival in Japan as well, known for its overwhelmingly lavish production.
