When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

We’ve put together a list of music festivals in Yamanashi Prefecture, including summer festivals, rock festivals, and outdoor festivals.

An outdoor festival hosted by the Yamanashi-born band THE NO EAR. It takes place at Kami-Suta Plaza in Yamanashi Prefecture, a venue with traditional Japanese-style buildings that gives it a wonderfully atmospheric feel. The rock-centered live performances held there create an extraordinary vibe, and it looks like it’s going to be a truly lovely event.

An outdoor festival where you can rent out an entire campground and enjoy Manouche jazz from many angles! The campsite is lined with wagon-style cabins, creating an atmosphere that makes you feel as if the Roma people might actually live there—immerse yourself in the music!
