The Japan Sea Sunset Concert in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture has been held since 1986. It’s an open-air music event brought to life by people captivated by the Sea of Japan and the sun setting into it. Each year, multiple high-profile artists perform, and a hallmark of the event is watching the sun gradually sink behind the stage. There are also many other engaging activities, such as performances by the Sunset Chorus Kids selected through auditions in Niigata City and a sunset photo contest.
