This is the 2018 Nomura Securities commercial, “Let’s Ask Nomura: A New Breeze.” Mei Nagano, a new employee, appears alongside Hiroshi Tamaki and Kentaro Sakaguchi, who work at Nomura Securities.
As Kentaro Sakaguchi says, “We want to be a partner in life,” Mei Nagano jots it down with a pen that has a pink pom-pom on the top…

This is Nomura Securities’ 2018 commercial, “Let’s Ask Nomura: The 100-Year Life.” Next to Kentaro Sakaguchi, an elderly man holding a baby is sitting in a chair.
Look closely and it turns out to be Hiroshi Tamaki in special makeup made to look old.
Tamaki addresses viewers, saying that in this era where a 100-year life is becoming the norm, he wants to be a partner in thinking about managing assets over a long lifetime.
Dreams, into power.

This is Nomura Securities’ 2012 commercial, “Turn Dreams into Power.” For Nomura, 2012 was a harsh winter.
Following administrative penalties over an insider trading scandal tied to a share offering, weekly magazines and others piled on, criticizing the firm’s corporate culture.
The commercial opens with a scene of a pitch-black dawn, evoking the idea of a reborn Nomura Securities.
It conveys a determination to restore the company’s image and regain public trust.

This is the 2018 Nomura Securities commercial “Empowering Dreams, Dreaming of Power: Magewappa.” In it, senior employee Hiroshi Tamaki, who works at Nomura Securities, uses magewappa—bentwood containers made from cedar—as an example to teach his junior, Kentaro Sakaguchi, that “Japan is a treasure trove.” You can’t help but nod along at Sakaguchi’s line where he expresses a bit of doubt about why they had to come all the way into the mountains just to learn about work.

This is Nomura Securities’ 2018 commercial, “Power to Dreams, Dreams to Power: Red Bricks.” It’s part of a series where senior employee Hiroshi Tamaki mentors junior employee Kentaro Sakaguchi.
Using the purpose of building something with red bricks as a metaphor, it teaches the importance of working with clear goals.
