When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

It’s one of eastern Hokkaido’s largest music festivals, held in Oketo, a small rural town with a population of just 3,000, where famous artists gather.

Oketo Green Festival 2nd

The OKETO GREEN FESTIVAL, held in Oketo, Hokkaido in 2015, returned in 2018 to bring back that excitement. In the town of Oketo, with a population of just 3,000, an outstanding lineup of musicians gathers for one of the largest outdoor music festivals in eastern Hokkaido. Summer in Hokkaido—sounds wonderful!
