When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

The Otsu Jazz Festival is held every autumn in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. At various venues with Lake Biwa right nearby, you can enjoy the cool, sophisticated performances of talented musicians!

The Otsu Jazz Festival is held under the concept of “strolling the city with JAZZ.” Operating costs are covered through donations and contributions, making it a truly handcrafted festival supported by its participants. The event is also run primarily by volunteers. Please relax and enjoy jazz while taking in the beautiful scenery of Lake Biwa.
