The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual summer music festival organized by Pitchfork Media and held at Union Park in Chicago, Illinois. Taking place over three days in July (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), the festival primarily features artists and bands in alternative rock, rap and hip hop, electronica, and dance music, but its lineup also includes hardcore punk, experimental/avant-garde rock, and jazz. In addition to music, the Pitchfork Music Festival features food, drinks, art, and gig posters from local, regional, and national vendors. The festival also hosts a record fair curated and operated by Chicago community radio stations.
