  I got totally hooked on BUMP OF CHICKEN after my best friend introduced them to me in junior high, and that’s when I woke up to music. In high school, a senior led me into the world of melodic hardcore, and I fell for it completely. Heavily influenced by the boyfriend I was dating back then, I’ve been a huge fan of 10-FEET from then until now. After graduating from my days as a hairstylist—spent staring down wigs every day—I now work staff for studios, live houses, and wedding sound, spending my days hunting for new bands. Despite being out at festivals and shows all year round, I’m still a hopeless kid who can’t even do a two-step.

"Good morning, Porno Ultra Express!! We're My Hair is Bad, here from Joetsu City in Niigata Prefecture!"—and with that, the after-hours began.

The venue was buzzing with excitement, as if it had been waiting for this moment.

By the time the shouting of “Can we keep going? Let’s go a little more! Confession!” kicked off the confessions, the venue’s excitement was at its peak.

“ROTTENGRAFFTY, we’re happy you invited us again this year! Thank you! Also, compared to last year, my income has gone up!!” said guitarist-vocalist Tomohito Shiiki, prompting laughter from the crowd.

An overwhelming stage that engulfed the entire venue

As the venue filled with warm laughter at his remark, “I get suspected just for changing my fabric softener (lol),” he continued, “It’s a slow song, but would you mind listening to one? Is that a problem?” and then “Itsuka Kekkon Shitemo,” a track from his third album Mothers, began.

“ROTTENGRAFFTY, thank you very much!” And the last song is Chrysanthemum.

On the electrifying stage, the audience's excitement was at its peak.

There isn’t a single person left who hasn’t seen My Hair is Bad.

It was a goosebump-inducing live show that completely swept me away with the overwhelming genius of the band My Hair is Bad.
