GOTTON JAM, the playhouse music festival, is celebrating its eighth year this year.
At the Kaho Theater—an old playhouse with a history dating back to the early Showa era—renowned artists will put on live performances. Inside the venue, visitors can also enjoy sake from local Chikuho breweries and regional gourmet foods.

The unit “2 Ton Boys,” made up of Chackie Mittoo—who keeps rocking the nightlife with Roots Reggae, Lovers Rock, Dub, and Japanese reggae—and FAT SMITH, who charges ahead with Dancehall Reggae, along with The Gardeners, a “Jap-Irish” band of violin, guitar, and percussion, plus Yusuke Oishi and Daiki Takeno, organizers of the Ozashiki Ongaku Festival, will all be bringing the hype.

The four sake breweries that Chikuho is proud of are gathering at Kaho Theater again this year!
The “Free Tastings with an Original Ochoko” event is being held again this year, where you can sample sake from the four Chikuho breweries when you purchase a 500-yen ochoko (sake cup).
This time, it's set up so you can take your time and enjoy it from the evening hours.

A festival you can enjoy in yukata! For those who can’t come in a yukata this year, we’ve set up a “Vintage Kimono Sales Booth” where you can purchase a secondhand yukata on the spot and enjoy the festival in traditional attire.
Under the selection of Kimono-ya Yufu, headquartered in Miyawaka City, a full lineup of one-of-a-kind items unique to vintage clothing is available.
You can enjoy wearing traditional Japanese clothing at reasonable prices, with items starting from 1,000 yen each for purchase.

It was registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property in 2006 and designated as a Modern Industrial Heritage site the following year.

With a Tanzanian father and a Japanese mother with Russian heritage, and having grown up in a household that, under his parents’ influence, frequently listened to Black music from an early age, he excels at mixing a wide range of genres.
Active with a unique playing style centered on “bass,” spanning genres like Hip-hop, Grime, Garage, Juke/Footwork, Dancehall, and Dub.
In 2017, they also performed at the OUTLOOK FESTIVAL JAPAN LAUNCH PARTY, the launch event for Croatia’s bass music festival OUTLOOK FESTIVAL, and appeared as a finalist in the Road to Outlook contest for a spot at the launch party, expanding their reach nationwide.

Since student days, they studied string instruments and began band activities as Thee cat fish paddy field, performing live at Shibuya O-NEST and being featured on a compilation album from the live house Shibuya Yaneura, among other diverse achievements.
After going solo, they performed as a DJ, including main acts at ageHa in Shin-Kiba and at Vision in Shibuya.

Centering on hip hop such as Harlem, they built up performances at each main venue and personally organized numerous events across Shibuya, Ebisu, and Daikanyama.
Not only working as a DJ, but also handling in-store BGM for Tokyo hair salons and well-known sneaker shops, and expanding his activities by providing tracks to artists, he returned to Fukuoka in 2018 and is set to host a party at BUY ME STAND inside Tsutaya Bookstore in Ropponmatsu, Fukuoka’s new hotspot.
Going forward, they will broaden their activities as a DJ, beatmaker, and producer, taking on projects such as creating music for commercials.
