Re:Festival, Nara Prefecture’s first outdoor rock festival, held at Kashihara Jingu.
It’s organized by Re view, a three-piece rock band from Nara.
Here’s a live report of raciku’s performance at this festival, which was launched to give back to their hometown through music!

Let's have fun!
The very first to appear on the main stage of Re:Festival was raciku.
One by one, the members appeared on stage, and the audience greeted them with warm applause.
The members gathered around drummer Nishide, bumped their fists together to form a huddle, and raciku’s live show began.
The first track, HOW, which began with vocalist Hirata’s a cappella.
With Hirata’s shout of “Re:Festival 2017—let’s have fun! Nice to meet you, I’m raciku!”, the venue instantly transformed into raciku’s live stage.
In the chorus, at Hirata’s shout of “Hands up!”, the audience all thrust their fists into the sky above Kashihara Jingu.
With Hirata’s voice saying, “Thank you. Let’s enjoy it till the end,” the second song, Recall, began.
The second track, in contrast to the first, is a rock number with a drum beat that feels great.
The weather held up, didn’t it?
During the interlude MC, they said, 'The weather held up, didn't it?'
I looked over the outdoor concert venue in the pleasant autumn weather after the rain that had fallen until morning had stopped.
“Things like this (Re:Festival) aren’t easy to pull off.”
I told the audience that I respect Re:view and also envy it.
I think it’s hard to tell in everyday life whether you’re loved and things like that. This is a song I wrote about that struggle.
And with those words, the third song began: Paradox.
The vocals, woven atop Yamanaka’s gentle keyboard melody, captured the hearts of everyone in the venue.
A song that sings about a live music club
As the audience clapped along to the drum rhythm, the live reaction was, 'Ah, this is nice. Fun.'
We usually sing at live houses, and if you’re up for it, it’s an awesome place—come hang out with us!
The fourth song is Relation Code, which sings about that kind of live house.
In the chorus, the audience all raised their hands, and the venue was riveted by raciku’s performance.

So I won’t forget this view
Hirata’s smile broke out near the end of the concert.
This is the last song.
And with that, Hirata announced the end of the live show.
I want to grow this festival together with everyone in Nara.
and talked about our feelings toward Re:Festival.
What I’m aiming for lies further ahead. But so I don’t forget this view, at the very end—beyond it. I’ll sing this song and head home.
And with that, the final fifth song began: “Beyond That.”
An emotional song whose lyrics carry the members’ feelings, powerfully conveying raciku’s identity as a band.
In the final chorus, Hirata sang a line without a microphone, delivering his voice directly to the audience.
Thank you very much. This was raciku.
and left the venue.
Having performed all five songs, raciku received generous applause and cheers.
A quick word after the show!

An open-air rock festival organized by Re view, a three-piece rock band from Nara Prefecture. The festival is held out of Re view’s desire to give back to their hometown through music. It’s a new rock festival in Nara, where there are hardly any outdoor rock events, launching in 2017. It’s a must-see event not only for music fans in Nara Prefecture but for music lovers across the Kansai region.
