When I attended my first music festival as a freshman in college, I was captivated by its charm—“I can’t believe there’s a place this free and this fun.” I share information about wonderful music festivals every day to help grow the community of festival fans.

It’s a summer tradition in Osaka’s rock scene that has been held since 1999. A wide range of artists perform, from festival regulars to up-and-coming acts.

RUSH BALL is a summer tradition of Osaka’s rock scene that has been held since 1999. The venue, Izumiotsu Phoenix, faces the sea, where you can feel the ocean breeze, and its sprawling lawns make for an incredibly comfortable festival experience. The lineup never disappoints—expect everything from staple festival veterans to promising young newcomers!
