Full Metal Panic is a work that mixes robots, war, and romantic comedy.

A slice-of-life anime I’d recommend for its portrayal of the protagonist’s growth is Barakamon.
The main character is Seishu Handa, a calligrapher.
The story follows his maturation as a person after he moves to the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture and grows through interactions with the islanders.
The most popular character in particular is Naru Kotoishi.
Her exchanges with Seishu Handa are both chuckle-worthy and often surprisingly profound.
It’s also great for vicariously experiencing island life, so definitely check it out.
Laid-Back Camp
Yuru Camp△, an anime released in 2018 that became a major hit.
Slice-of-life anime can broadly be divided into three types.
