MONSTER baSHSat 8/23 – Sun 8/24, Kagawa Prefecture
MONSTER baSH is an outdoor rock festival that has been held in Kagawa Prefecture since 2000. It’s affectionately known by its nickname, “Monbasu.” Since 2003, the main venues have consisted of two stages: STAGE Kukai and STAGE Ryujin. These two stages are set up side by side, so you can see every act performing on the main stages. There’s also an area at the back of the main stage zone where you can lay down sheets or set up parasols, making it possible to stay comfortable even in the intense heat.

KITAGATA Clear Stream FestivalSun, Aug 24 – Gifu Prefecture
Motosu District’s Kitagata Town is a place rich in history and culture, home to Enkyo-ji Temple founded by Kukai. Driven by a passionate desire to hold an outdoor rock festival here, the town rallied behind the idea, and the festival has been held since 2016. Many popular artists gather to perform!

“SUKIYAKI MEETS THE WORLD,” one of Japan’s leading world music events, has been running for over a quarter of a century. As an expansion of this festival, which is held every August in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture, it will once again take place in Okinawa this year following last year’s edition.
