[TOTO] A roundup of buzzworthy commercials, including appearances by Kokoro Terada and Haru Terada
Many of you are probably curious about TOTO’s commercials for home water fixtures, right?
In particular, the NEOREST commercial featuring the parent-and-child germs has been a hot topic because Kokoro Terada, who plays Little Ben, is absolutely adorable!
There’s also growing attention on the voice of Eiji Yokota, who plays the father, Big Ben.
More recently, Little Ben’s younger brother, Micro Ben, has appeared as well, making the NEOREST commercials even more charming.
In this article, we’ll introduce those commercials along with other TOTO product ads and a roundup of their past campaigns.
[TOTO] Roundup of Trending Commercials (1–10), Including Works Featuring Kokoro Terada and Haru Terada
System Bathroom Sazana: “A Tatami Bath? Sazana” Edition

The BGM reminds me of old-school new wave.
The repeated phrase about a “floor that won’t make your butt cold” really sticks in your head.
The dancing also feels like it’ll be imprinted on the backs of my eyelids.
.
.
That slightly surreal, funny vibe is the charm of this commercial! I also feel like the overall subdued color palette helps create its unique atmosphere.
TOILET BIKE PROJECT “Debut” / “Water Saving” / “Green Model” / “Hydrotect” / “Running”

This is a quirky, very TOTO-like commercial featuring Ryo Kase.
A talking toilet-motorbike appears, and I can’t forget the sight of Kase straddling it and dashing off in style.
Accompanied by cheerful background music, the journey with the toilet bike—comic yet perhaps even moving—is a must-see.
By the way, this toilet bike actually ran the entire route from Kitakyushu, where TOTO’s headquarters are located, to Tokyo, using biogas made from livestock waste and domestic wastewater as fuel.
TOTO Comfort Wave Shower “Mist Shower” Version

This is a commercial for a showerhead released by TOTO.
The head offers three selectable spray patterns, highlighting the appeal of comfortable use tailored to different purposes and preferences.
Paired with actual shower footage, the calm background music and narration help convey the product’s features more clearly.
This is Amazing! TOTO Toilets: “Thanks to the Cleansterilizing Water” Edition

A commercial for TOTO’s toilet feature “Kirei Jokin-sui” (Clean Sterilizing Water) shows a family of four moving through a house that looks like a piece of trick art.
The mother is played by Satomi Kobayashi, the father by Ken Mitsuishi, and their two children by twin child actors Keishi Onodera and Fumiya Onodera.
In addition to the trick-art visuals, the unique song sung by children in the background draws you in.
It’s incredibly catchy—you’ll find yourself humming it after watching the ad!
This is amazing! TOTO’s toilet: “Keep the toilet clean~” version

A comical commercial where a family tries to push toilet cleaning onto one another.
Nobody likes cleaning the toilet, and the family in this ad is no different.
To a catchy melody, they ask Dad, the kids, and then Mom to clean the toilet, but everyone refuses with a chorus of “No way!” Mom is played by Satomi Kobayashi, Dad by Ken Mitsuishi, and the two children by twin brothers Yoshiyuki Onodera and Fumiya Onodera.
While everyone dreads cleaning the toilet, TOTO’s toilet cleans itself thanks to its “Cleanse/Disinfecting Water” feature.
It’s a commercial that highlights a function any household would love, delivered with a memorable, fun song.
Crasso

A commercial for the system kitchen “Crasso,” featuring Satomi Kobayashi as the mother and twin brothers Yoshiyuki Onodera and Fumiya Onodera playing her children.
In the ad, they express the feeling of “I’ve always wanted this system kitchen!” by performing a mysterious dance.
The appeal of this system kitchen is that it lets you smoothly handle all kinds of kitchen chores right on its surface.
That idea is even sung about in the background music.
It’s such a strange, catchy commercial—both to the ears and the eyes—that it makes you curious about the product itself.
Krasso “Sui-Sui Walk” Edition

A comedic commercial featuring a family of four visiting a TOTO kitchen showroom.
Satomi Kobayashi plays the mother, Ken Mitsuishi the father, and their children are played by Yoshiyuki Onodera and Fumiya Onodera.
What makes TOTO’s commercials fun is that it’s not just footage of people looking around a showroom! For some reason, the whole family tours the showroom doing the moonwalk.
You want to glide smoothly through all the kitchen chores, right? And a moonwalk only looks cool if you glide smoothly, too.
Maybe the visuals are drawing that parallel—or maybe it’s just a mystery—but it’s the kind of ad you can’t help watching to the end.
