Chestnut Street Incident(Album)John Mellencamp
John Mellencamp is a singer-songwriter who changed his stage name multiple times: John Cougar, John Cougar Mellencamp, and John Mellencamp.
His breakthrough came with the 1982 single “Hurts So Good.
” Following that hit, “Jack & Diane” was also a massive success, cementing his popularity.
His debut work was the 1976 album Chestnut Street Incident, released under the name John Cougar.

I Believe in LoveKenny Loggins
Kenny Loggins is an American musician.
After releasing numerous hit songs in the early 1970s as part of the duo Loggins & Messina, he began his solo career in 1977.
He is best known for major hits like the title track from the film Footloose and “Danger Zone,” the theme song for Top Gun.
His solo debut was the 1977 album Celebrate Me Home.
Although it was his debut, the album became a hit and was certified Platinum in the United States.

Livin’ in the LimelightPeter Cetera
Originally known as an art-rock group, Chicago transformed into a ballad-oriented band in the 1980s, with Peter Cetera at its center.
However, for this solo debut single, he deliberately chose a rock direction, resulting in a hard, guitar-focused tune.

Steve Perry released his first solo album while he was still the lead singer of Journey.

California GirlsDavid Lee Roth
David Lee Roth, who became a star as the vocalist of Van Halen, covered the Beach Boys’ signature song “California Girls” for his debut solo single.
