Bloody Power Famecoldrain

A five-piece rock band, coldrain, whose loud rock sound and melodic arrangements have earned them popularity overseas.

This track was chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime “BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-” and is included on their 7th album, “Nonnegative.” Its modern and aggressive ensemble conveys the creator’s love for hard rock and metal, perfectly linking with the work’s extreme worldview.

With its dramatic arrangement, it makes you forget it’s an anime song—a rock tune bound to raise the energy at live shows.

UNDER THE TREESiM

SiM is a punk band known for their heavy sound.

The piece they created as the theme song for Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 (Part 1) is UNDER THE TREE.

This song portrays the heroine’s regret and sorrow, and the shouting parts seem to express screams and laments.

There’s also a theory that the slow yet heavy sound represents the footsteps of the Titans that appear in the anime.

Give it a listen while pondering these interpretations.

NANAE’s vocals are wonderful—cute yet strong at the core.

They also share travel videos made by the members on YouTube, giving a glimpse of their close-knit chemistry.

It’s distinguished by vocalist nagi’s crystal-clear voice, which pairs perfectly with lyrics that evoke a star-filled sky.

The catchy melody throughout is another draw, and the chorus—where her vocals soar—sticks in your head after just one listen.

Arranged in classic guitar-rock style, it’s no surprise many bands have covered this track.

A must-listen for fans of girl bands! This four-piece is Akai Ko-en.

Their hallmark is a musical style that refuses to be confined to the “rock band” box.

Guitarist Yosaki Tuno’s remarkably broad musical roots shine through, and they’ve released many tracks with a distinctive worldview that can’t be summed up in a single word.

If you think “girl bands are just cute,” prepare to have that notion blown away.

Paired with lyrics that carry a subtly dark sense of infiltrating an unknown world, Reo Uchida’s versatile vocals convey the band’s rich musicality in this standout number.

Can DoGRANRODEO

GRANRODEO is a unit consisting of Kishō Taniyama, a voice actor who has appeared in numerous works, and Masaaki Iizuka, a guitarist known for creating many anime and game tracks.

Their 2012 release “Can Do” was used as the opening theme for the anime Kuroko’s Basketball.

Incidentally, Kishō Taniyama also appears in the anime, playing the role of Tatsuya Himuro.

Set to a driving, high-speed rock melody, the song expresses the determination to do whatever it takes to win, no matter the situation.

Like the characters in Kuroko’s Basketball, it gives a powerful push to anyone throwing themselves wholeheartedly into something.
