Top 10 karaoke songs that are easy to sing for tone-deaf beginners, recommended for college students
Someone like you.Lilia.

Riria is a popular singer-songwriter whose real, straightforward lyrics perfectly suit modern society, earning strong support from young people—especially students.
Among her songs, the one I particularly recommend is “Anta Nante.” While it may sound like the higher notes stand out a bit, the overall vocal range is surprisingly narrow.
Because it doesn’t demand a specific vocal timbre, it’s a great track to add to your repertoire.
AzaleaKenshi Yonezu

Kenshi Yonezu, a singer-songwriter immensely popular among young people.
I believe many university students are also big fans of his music.
Recently, Yonezu has been releasing rather challenging songs, but his new track “Azalea” is different.
The entire piece has a distinctly downbeat atmosphere, with a calm vocal line that doesn’t fluctuate much.
However, a falsetto appears in the final chorus, so if you’re not comfortable with head voice, lower the key—especially for that section—to adjust.
HabitSEKAI NO OWARI

SEKAI NO OWARI’s classic song “Habit,” released in 2022, gained popularity with a gritty musical style that hadn’t been seen in their work before.
Even going into 2023, it continues to enjoy strong, enduring popularity.
Since the song is groove-centered, it doesn’t require much vocal prowess.
There aren’t any high parts either, so it should be easy to sing.
College karaoke can be pretty demanding physically, so a track like this—one that gets people hyped without needing you to belt—might be a perfect fit.

Beat de TouhiHamaiku

Hamaiku is a unit formed by Ryuichi Hamaya of Kamaitachi and Erika Ikuta.
Their song “Beat DE Touhi” is their debut track.
Many university students are probably familiar with it.
Since the two are not primarily active as singers, the vocal lines are set at a relatively low difficulty throughout.
Also, even though it’s a duet, there are no harmony parts, which makes it an easy song to sing.
wavy or curly hairSaucy Dog

Saucy Dog is a rock band that enjoys overwhelming support from young people.
While they’re known for their catchy sound, many listeners may feel their songs are difficult because the vocals are quite high.
That’s why I recommend Kusége.
Among their tracks, this one falls into the relatively narrow vocal range category, and the melody line is arranged to be easy to sing, with gentle rises and falls in pitch.
Even so, it’s still a bit high, so be sure to adjust the key to suit your own voice when you sing it.
moonlightAimer

Aimer is a female singer-songwriter loved by a wide range of generations.
Her soft vocals, born from her distinctive vocal technique, are striking, and she consistently ranks near the top of the charts.
Many college students likely enjoy her music as well.
Among Aimer’s songs, the one I especially recommend is her new track, Tsukikage (Moonshadow).
It’s an orthodox J-pop ballad with a consistently wistful atmosphere throughout.
There are a few high parts here and there, but they’re not particularly difficult high notes.
Since the overall range isn’t very wide, you shouldn’t have much trouble keeping your pitch in tune.
LazuliMONGOL800×WANIMA

A collaborative work by popular rock bands MONGOL800 and WANIMA, “Lazuli.” Both bands are well-suited to energetic musical styles.
When it was first released, fans often talked about it with high expectations for the synergy between them.
This piece showcases what they do best: a refreshing, vibrant sound.
That said, the vocal range is surprisingly narrow, tailored more toward MONGOL800.
The long tones don’t require much vibrato either, so as long as you stay on pitch, the rhythm is easy to catch—making it a very singable track.
