Rather than being simply girly and cute, our ranking also leans into the emotional side.

Cute Anime Songs Special: From the 70s to Today! (21–30)

I'm a popular kid.Akiko Yano

Crayon Shin-chan, I'm a popular kid.
I'm Akiko Yano, a popular girl.

The classic anime Crayon Shin-chan is beloved by a wide range of generations, from children to adults.

Its movies are famous for often being so profound that even adults are moved to tears.

While people tend to associate the series with the films’ image, Crayon Shin-chan is, at its core, a gag anime.

Many of the songs that appear in it are crafted to be comical and cute.

Among them, the one I especially recommend is Ora wa Ninkimono.

It’s sung by Akiko Yajima, the voice actress who played Shin-chan, and the entire piece has a uniquely charming and playful vibe.

Osomatsu-san is an original anime inspired by Fujio Akatsuka’s manga Osomatsu-kun.

Its risqué humor and dark jokes became popular and led to a boom among fujoshi.

Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake is the first opening theme for Osomatsu-san.

It’s sung by the idol group AŌP, and their charming voices help give the song a cute vibe.

Incidentally, the original manga features even more extreme dark humor than Osomatsu-san.

i Loveazusa

Amagami is a romance anime where a male student is the protagonist and various what-if stories unfold with different heroines.

It originally started as a simulation game, but it became so popular that it was adapted into an anime.

The heroines, who are far from perfect, each have distinctive personalities that won fans in a style not often seen at the time.

The theme song for Amagami is i Love.

It has a simple melody, but azusa’s voice is so cute that many listeners may feel enveloped just by listening to it.

Himouto! Umaru-chan is a gag manga that portrays the daily life of the protagonist, Umaru—who, like Dekisugi-kun, can handle anything effortlessly but is extremely lazy at home—and her older brother, Taihei.

The series features numerous parodies of subcultures, which drew attention and led to an anime adaptation in 2015.

The anime was a major hit, partly thanks to its casting of idol voice actors.

Kakushin-teki☆Metamaruphōze! is the theme song, delivering a lively and cute vibe.

Sparkling DaydreamBlack Raison d’être

The light novel Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! by Torako won an Encouragement Award at the Kyoto Animation Awards, organized by Kyoto Animation.

It went on to become a hit as a light novel and was subsequently adapted into an anime.

As a well-received school romantic comedy, it became a hit across Japan.

The theme song for Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is Sparkling Daydream, an impressive track that balances the driving energy of artcore with a sense of cuteness.

Hamtaro Tottoko SongHam-chans

[Anime] 'Hamtaro Tottoko Uta' (Sung by: Ham-Chans) [Official] Hamtaro opening theme song, Part 1
Hamtaro Tottoko Song Ham-Chans

An anime that was a huge hit with young children in the 2000s, Hamtaro.

For people now in their mid-20s, it must feel incredibly nostalgic.

The series portrays the everyday lives of hamsters and features a variety of characters with different personalities.

The premise is cute, and the content itself is also very adorable, leaving a warm, heartwarming impression as you watch.

The theme song is extremely cute as well—especially “The Hamtaro Tottoko Song,” which, being sung by the voice actors, gives off an irresistibly cute vibe.

This song was written as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime Tokyo Mew Mew New.

Performed by Smewthie, a unit formed by the five main cast members, it features catchy, comedic phrases that make you want to hum along after just one listen, and an energetic chorus.

Riding on a fast-paced sound, it conveys the girls’ strong, forward-looking feelings directly.

It’s an anime song with a powerful vibe that gives you a push when you want to transform into a new version of yourself!
