[A Must-See Even for Beginners] Easy-to-Sing Karaoke Songs (81–90)

Sing, sky of JapanSouthern All Stars

Sing, Nippon no Sora — Southern All Stars

This is Southern All Stars’ fifth digital-only single, released in August 2023.

Incidentally, the previous single, “Bongiri Koiuta,” and the next one, “Relay ~ Mori no Uta,” are said to form a trilogy with a shared theme.

This track alone evokes the refreshing air of a leisurely summer beach, with a calm flow of time.

The vocal melody and range aren’t very wide, making it a gentle tune you can hum along to and enjoy casually—likely an easy song for anyone to sing.

Relax your shoulders and enjoy.

It might even help those who usually feel hesitant about singing discover the joy of it!

One Lovestorm

Arashi’s love song “One Love,” which is also very popular as a wedding song.

In 2020, “One Love: Reborn” was released and became a hot topic.

This song is also known for being easy to sing at karaoke.

It’s an easy choice not only because it’s famous and everyone knows it, but also because it has few sudden key changes and sits in a lower vocal range.

Plus, the relatively slow tempo makes it easier to calmly follow the melody.

It’s a song that’s easy for both men and women to sing, so definitely give it a try.

Many of you might be reminded of your childhood when you hear it.

“Aruite Kaerou” was released in 1994 as the fourth single.

It was chosen as the theme song for the children’s program Ponkikkies and later became a hit.

Since then, it’s been used frequently in commercials and TV shows, so it’s known across a wide range of generations.

Listening to the cheerful vocals makes you want to hum along, doesn’t it? If you’re a woman, it should be quite easy to sing.

The stars look beautiful in the sky.Kazuyoshi Saito

The popular song “Sora ni Hoshi ga Kirei,” known from Myojo’s “Charumera” commercial jingle and used as an insert song in the 2016 drama Hibana, was released as their 10th single in 1996.

Its lyrics offer the comforting feeling of someone by your side when you’re down after a failure or troubled by something small—such a beautiful worldview.

The melody is calm, with a relatively low vocal range.

Try singing it while imagining a night sky full of twinkling stars.

Family songGen Hoshino

Family Song by Gen Hoshino

It’s a song that conveys deep affection, depicting someone wishing happiness for a loved one in sync with its warm sound.

It’s also memorable for being chosen as the theme song for the drama “Overprotected Kahoko,” and the songwriter has said they referenced the script and wrote the lyrics while reflecting on “what family is.” The gentle, piano-centered rhythm and the vocal line with minimal pitch movement make it relatively easy to sing.

Precisely because the tempo is slow, it’s important to stay mindful of the rhythm so the singing doesn’t become weak.

To deliver the message of the lyrics, I recommend paying close attention to how you finish phrases and to dynamic contrast throughout your performance.

Koi Oto to Amazora AAA

This is a song by the dance performance group AAA.

They’re popular among young people regardless of gender, so if you’re going to karaoke with both men and women, singing the male and female parts together should really liven things up.

It’s also easy to sing, so I recommend it.

365 Days' Paper AirplaneAKB48

365-Day Paper Airplane AKB48

This song was produced as the theme for NHK’s morning drama series “Asa ga Kita.” It also made headlines because Sayanee, aka Sayaka Yamamoto of AKB48, served as the center for the first time.

It seems that on TV and at live performances, Sayanee sometimes does an acoustic guitar solo with vocals.

You wouldn’t think it was an AKB48 track after just one listen.
