Oh, Pretty WomanRoy Orbison

The song itself is an old one released in 1964, but it gained even more attention thanks to the movie Pretty Woman.
For women, which do you prefer being called: “beautiful” or “cute”? As we get older, being called “cute” somehow feels like we’re being told we look younger—don’t you think?
Only YouTHE PLATTERS

It’s an old song released in 1995, but it was later used in the film American Graffiti.
I think it’s a song everyone has heard at least once somewhere.
I’d love to see men in their 50s sing “Only You” to the women they love.
My SharonaThe Knack

It was an explosive hit song, and with the name “Sharona” repeated over and over, it really feels like a love song.
How about trying to sing it by replacing “Sharona” with the name of the woman you love? Calling her name again and again makes it sound passionate, doesn’t it?
Unchained MelodyThe Righteous Brothers

Released in 1965, this song became a major hit in the United States, and it enjoyed a resurgence when it was used in the 1990 film Ghost.
Watching the movie will likely enhance its image as a love song.
StrangerBilly Joel

The image of him singing while playing the piano in a tie and jeans left a strong impression, and many fans admired him as a sophisticated New York songwriter.
But above all, what was really cool was his urbane sound, ranging from pop rock ’n’ roll to ballads.
This song was especially popular in Japan, even more so than in the United States.

I Was Made For Lovin’ YouKISS

When they debuted, KISS was seen as a novelty act because they drew attention with makeup said to be inspired by Kabuki and a stage show that included breathing fire.
However, their sound was solid, classic rock ’n’ roll, and their live performances—combined with the flashy theatrics—were high in quality and very popular.
I Want To Break FreeQueen

The song “I Want to Break Free,” included on the 11th album The Works and also known for its music video—a parody of the British TV drama Coronation Street—that sparked mixed reactions.
Because of its lyrics, it became popular in South America at the time as an anthem of freedom for people suffering under oppressive regimes.
Its vocal range is narrow and the pitch movement isn’t drastic, so you can sing it comfortably while listening to the ensemble.
If possible, I’d like you to sing it with an understanding of the lyrics—this is a soulful pop tune.
