Country RoadYoko Honna

Country Roads is the signature song of Whisper of the Heart.
The scene where the protagonists, Shizuku Tsukishima and Seiji Amasawa, sing it is especially memorable.
It’s a heartwarming song that captures the bittersweet youth of high school and a romance brought together by the library.
I first encountered this film in elementary school, and it reminds me of how I longed for high school romance.
strollKazu Akiyama

It’s My Neighbor Totoro, known by everyone.
From small children to adults, everyone loves Totoro’s songs, and this is a tune everyone has sung.
Adorable Mei and her sister Satsuki, the beautiful scenery, the charming Totoro, and the Catbus are all must-sees.

Arrietty’s SongCecile Corbel
I think everyone has heard it at least once.
It’s the theme song of The Secret World of Arrietty.
Not only the beautiful scenery, but the beautiful vocals especially captivated adults.
Among Studio Ghibli works, it may be less impactful than others, but it’s a song that soothes the heart.
Yumi KimuraAlways With Me

Isn’t it one of the most famous songs among Studio Ghibli works—the theme song of Spirited Away? I’ve loved Ghibli since I was young, and Spirited Away is by far my absolute favorite.
I even have memories of going to see it twice in the movie theater.
Carrying YouAzumi Inoue
It’s the representative theme song of Castle in the Sky, where the music, the scenery—everything—is beautiful.
It’s a piece that has been sung in choral competitions for over ten years by everyone from elementary school students to adults.
The music of “Carrying You” resonates so deeply that the scenes of Castle in the Sky come to mind.
When the cherries ripenTokiko Kato
It’s the theme song of Porco Rosso.
I love this song.
Kato’s rich yet delicate vocals are striking.
Porco Rosso is often called a Ghibli film for adults, but I think it’s a work that can help you regain a gentle heart.
Listening to the music made me want to watch it again.
The Pigeon and the BoyCastle in the Sky

It’s the insert song from Castle in the Sky (Laputa) that everyone has heard and hummed.
I think we all picture Pazu playing it on his trumpet as he faces the beautiful morning sunrise.
The trumpet players in my school’s brass band used to play it too.
