Easy-to-sing youth songs for karaoke: recommended classics and popular hits

Shouting “Bakayaro!” toward the sea is a classic scene in coming-of-age dramas.

You might quip, “Nobody actually does that,” but whether you’re young—or even as you get older—there are times when you just want to yell at the top of your lungs.

That said, not many people have a conveniently located (?) beach nearby, so why not blow off steam with some coming-of-age songs at karaoke instead.

Youthful songs that are easy to sing at karaoke: Recommended classics and popular tracks (1–10)

You are beautiful when in love.NEW!If you’re like that, then I’ll be like this.

Although it was released on June 7, 2015, the song has recently gained popularity through social media like TikTok and is ranking high on Spotify’s Viral Chart.

The artist is an Osaka-based “youthful, melodically heart-throbbing band” that creates songs incorporating elements of kayōkyoku and youth punk.

It’s highly recommended for fans of bands with that nostalgic Heisei-era vibe.

Also, since the vocal range isn’t very wide and most of the singing stays in the mid register, you’ll likely be able to enjoy it in the original key.

However, there are many sections with continuous lyrics, so breath control might be challenging.

If you avoid overly crisp articulation and let the melody flow naturally, you should be able to sing it well.

Be sure to check it out!

greatest common divisorRADWIMPS

Among RADWIMPS’ songs, this one doesn’t sit too high in range, so you don’t need to belt.

As long as you stay mindful of the rhythmic timing, you can aim for a high score! In particular, the A verse stays mostly in the mid–low (mid1) range, so it’s good to sing gently, as if speaking.

The range gradually rises from the B verse, but there’s no need to push your voice.

If you keep the breath flowing and imagine resonating in the head, your head voice will take on a chesty quality, and once you find your comfortable spot, it becomes much easier to sing.

Also, some may find the rhythm tricky where the melody gets fast, but since the range isn’t too high, you’ll be fine if you place the notes carefully and sing with precision.

As the pitch climbs, imagine resonating in the head and try keeping it light!

Youth Rhapsody Naniwa Danshi

When it comes to Naniwa Danshi’s appeal, it’s definitely their bright and refreshing vocals, right? With that in mind, I recommend this song, “Youth Rhapsody.” The rapid-fire part appears right from the intro, so it might seem difficult, but it isn’t a flow-heavy rap—it’s a more monotonous, chant-like section.

As long as your enunciation is steady, you should be able to get through it without trouble.

The highest note is hi F, while the lowest is mid C#; so while the range reaches high, it isn’t very wide overall.

As long as you adjust the key properly, it’s a song that’s quite easy to sing.

If I could become a constellationcable tie

[Lyric Video] Kessoku Band “If We Could Become Constellations” / In-episode song from TV anime “Bocchi the Rock!” Episode 12
If we could become a constellation, we’d be Kessoku Band.

Kessoku Band’s most famous song, “If We Could Become a Constellation.” The melody isn’t difficult and the rhythm is calm, so many of my vocal training students chose to sing it.

Actually, JOYSOUND staff are doing something called the “95-Point Challenge” with this song, so with practice you might be able to boost your score quite a bit! The overall vocal range is G3–C#5.

The chorus hits C5 repeatedly, so some people might feel it’s “high,” but the melody has momentum, so if you focus on accents, you’ll be fine! First, listen carefully to identify which parts are the high notes.

Take the spots where you think, “Maybe here?” and turn them into accents by riding the rhythm with some drive.

The key point is to project your voice forward! Start with sectional practice so you can produce sound comfortably, and do your best!

More Berry SummerCUTIE STREET

Moabeli Summer CUTIE STREET

It’s a song packed with phrases about youth, friendship, and first love, so it really resonates with teenagers and is easy to sing in your own words.

It’s also performed at summer festivals and has lots of live-style callouts, so it should get everyone hyped at karaoke! The melody is catchy, and the vocal range doesn’t go that high.

Up to the chorus, there’s more call-and-response than “singing,” so enjoy it together with everyone, then switch to a “singing” mindset from the chorus to add dynamics and really bring the song to life.

For the high parts, try singing as if you’re sending your voice far away—your voice will come out more easily, so give it a try! And since the groove is key, the best way is to keep the rhythm with your body while you sing.

I want to become a ghost.Yuika

Yuika, who wants to become a ghost.

This is the opening theme song for the TV anime “Wataru-kun’s XX Is on the Verge of Collapse,” which began airing in July 2025.

It’s especially popular among students, and some of my students who like Yuika have been singing it too! When I listened to the song, my impression was that the rhythm in the chorus is tricky.

If you try to sing before memorizing the melody, you might not know where to break phrases or where to breathe.

If you hum along while listening, you can memorize the melody, and once you can hum it lightly, you’ll be able to relax and sing more easily.

The chorus uses the same melody with only slight changes to the lyrics, so once you get past that part, it should be easier to sing.

Also, if breathing is difficult, don’t try to sing everything at 100%; try easing your voice in little by little.

When you hit a spot where you can think, “I can breathe here!” take a deep breath!

Campus mode!!Hatsuboshi Academy

Hatsuboshi Academy “Campus mode!!” Lyric Video (HATSUBOSHI GAKUEN – Campus mode!!) Short Size
Campus Mode!! Hatsuboshi Academy

“Campus mode!!” is a full-group song from Hatsuboshi Academy, a sparkling cheer anthem with “youth” as its theme! The lyrics and tempo are super energetic, making it perfect for teenage girls! Since multiple people sing the track, it might be tricky to perform solo, but if you have friends who like Hatsuboshi Academy, splitting parts and singing together would definitely be a blast! The tempo is a bit fast, and for the A and B sections, try singing as if you’re having an excited conversation—you’ll naturally get a bright tone.

For the chorus, crank the energy even higher and project your voice as if you’re reaching far; it’ll carry better, feel more idol-like, and be even more fun to sing! For the fast lines, it’s fine to enunciate each word clearly.

The earnestness will become a charm of the performance, so try singing as if you’ve become an idol yourself!
