Shiroshitamachi no Onna is a studio album released by Michiya Mihashi in 1976, featuring local songs from various regions of Japan.
The song about Kochi is Minami no Kaze on the B-side, with lyrics by Yū Aku and music by Makoto Kawaguchi, a composer of many kayōkyoku (Japanese popular songs).

This is a PR song for Susaki City, located in central Kochi Prefecture, with lyrics written by students of Susaki Junior High School.
The composer is Tetsuro Oda, who is also active as a singer-songwriter.

Cape AshizuriUmi Neko

Cape Ashizuri is a cape located in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture.
It used to be read as “Ashizuri-zaki,” but nowadays it seems to be read as “Ashizuri-misaki.” The song is by Ichiro Toba, who sings many fishermen’s songs, but this video is a cover version by Umi Neko.
A Man’s LifeHideo Murata

This is a song by enka singer Hideo Murata, affectionately known by the nickname “Mucchi,” who was also active as an actor.
It sings about the way of life of a man born in Tosa, and is notable for including a spoken monologue part.
With this song, Hideo Murata appeared in the 36th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
Cape AshizuriSayaka Kamizono

This is another song themed around Cape Ashizuri, sung by enka vocalist Sayaka Kamizono, who debuted when she was still a high school student.
It was released in 2005.
Owing to her connection with this song, Sayaka Kamizono was appointed a tourism goodwill ambassador for Cape Ashizuri.

The Yosakoi Festival is an event held every August in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, and is counted as one of the three major festivals of Shikoku.
