LighthouseCharlotte de Witte

Belgian DJ Charlotte de Witte is a globally acclaimed electronic music producer and DJ.
Her music is characterized by fast BPMs and a floating, uplifting vibe, with trippy, psychedelic sounds.
She’s hugely popular at rave parties, festivals, and clubs around the world.
It’s pure, no-nonsense techno with none of the EDM feel, so it might not suit people who like EDM.
On the other hand, if EDM isn’t your thing, her work is definitely worth a listen.
TatakiArgy

Argy, a DJ from Greece, delivers an addictive track with Tataki, driven by a sequenced synthesizer phrase in the intro.
Shortly after the track begins, you can hear an eerie sound—like a sampled male voice—matching the rhythm of that intro sequence.
In the middle section, a tone reminiscent of guitar feedback joins in, and as the layers gradually build, you can’t help but feel a thrilling tension.
It’s a top recommendation for fans of dark techno.
ProudQrion

Qrion, a noteworthy female music producer from Sapporo, Hokkaido, is now based in San Francisco.
She began producing music in high school, moved to the United States in 2016 to pursue a global career, and in 2020 was recognized on Forbes Japan’s “30 UNDER 30 JAPAN 2020.” This young talent released her long-awaited debut album, I Hope It Lasts Forever, in October 2021.
“Proud,” featured in this article, is a track from the album, with its music video released in November 2021.
Packed with footage shot in Hokkaido, the video evokes a sense of nostalgia for her roots, while the track itself unfolds coolly over a simple four-on-the-floor beat.
Her choice to sample Denise Williams’ 1983 song “I’m So Proud”—well-known among lovers of lady soul—is absolutely spot-on.
Spicy feat. GingerBoris Brejcha

Despite its steady, understated tone, it somehow feels richly expressive in its soundscape.
This track is by German music producer Boris Brejcha, who describes his style as “high-tech minimal.” The beat is wrapped in ambient synth phrases, and the more you listen, the more nuance it reveals.
The wistful piano timbre is also striking.
It’s a form of artistic techno that carries a certain melancholy—distinct from the kind of electric dance tunes you can easily ride and get hyped to.
Take ControlKREAM

Cream is an electronic duo from Norway.
Formed by brothers, their music centers on house, deep house, and dance pop.
Among their works, the one I particularly recommend is Take Control.
It’s crafted as a very heavy deep house track, and depending on the part you listen to, it can even sound trance-like.
If you’re into heavy electronic music, this track will be irresistible.
Blackbox Life Recorder 21fAphex Twin

Aphex Twin is a British techno musician.
Many people probably know him, as he energizes venues at various music events.
In 2023, he released a track titled “Blackbox Life Recorder 21f.” The title alone gives off a cool vibe, and the sound, while grounded in drums, has a somewhat exotic feel.
Released at the same time, “zin2 test5” is a psychedelic track, so it could be fun to listen to the two and compare them.
VeselkaMiss Monique

Miss Monique, originally from Ukraine and acclaimed in today’s progressive house scene, released the memorable track “Veselka” on January 12, 2024, via her own label Siona Records.
Completed before she left Kyiv, Ukraine, the piece is an artistic work that traverses progressive house, trance, and techno, and is loved by fans worldwide.
“Veselka” features deep drums, a heavy bassline, and her trademark big-room energy crescendo, delivering pure energy and good vibes.
The track evokes bright moments from more peaceful times and holds the potential to electrify listeners.
From Berlin to Dubai to San Diego, it has created hands-in-the-air moments at her shows, while also conveying her feelings about the current situation in Ukraine through the music.
No matter the setting, “Veselka” will transport you to a new world.
