Easy to sing: Cool songs by female artists that sound great when sung by men

“Songs by female artists are hard to sing…” You hear that a lot, but that’s not necessarily true!

The reason female songs can feel difficult is the difference in vocal range between men and women.

In other words, as long as you adjust the key, you can sing songs by female artists just fine.

That said, women often have a wider range than men, so in that sense, male singers may find female artists’ songs a bit harder to sing.

So this time, we’ve picked out female-artist tracks that are especially cool in style and easy for men to sing.

We also touch on some professional vocal knowledge and techniques, so be sure to check it out!

[Easy to Sing] Cool Women’s Songs That Sound Great When Sung by Men (31–40)

Tot MusicaAdo

[Ado] Tot Musica (Uta from ONE PIECE FILM RED)
Tot MusicaAdo

Popular singer Ado.

To be honest, very few of her songs are easy to sing.

However, Tot Musica is different.

Of course, basic vocal ability is necessary, but this piece has especially many shouts among Ado’s songs.

And they’re not just any shouts—they’re the kind that resonate in the low register, which actually makes the song easier for men to sing.

That said, forcing the shout will make it sound like a strained voice, so be careful.

Practice so that the shout comes out naturally as an extension of your middle-to-high range.

Ma Ningen ATARASHII GAKKO!

Atarashii Gakko no Leaders is an idol group with a distinctive performance style and musicality that evoke the Showa era.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is “Ma-Ningen.” This track stands out for its extremely powerful vocals.

Many people might think it requires a lot of vocal power and seems hard to sing.

However, once you actually try singing it, you’ll find that it has quite a narrow vocal range.

Even the highest parts of the chorus sit around the mid-range.

That makes it a very easy song for men to sing.

Even those who can’t hit particularly high notes should be able to handle it, so consider adding it to your repertoire.

The key tips are not to miss the pitch on the very first note of the chorus, and to pay close attention to clear pronunciation!

Flashback feat. Daichi Yamamoto Mina Okabe

I’d like to introduce a sophisticated track here: “Flashback feat.

Daichi Yamamoto.” This work is a collaboration between Mina Okabe, a Japan-born singer based in Denmark with global acclaim, and rapper Daichi Yamamoto.

While Mina Okabe usually focuses on genres like dream pop, this track blends jazz and soul into what you might call neo-soul.

Her voice is quite low, making it a song that’s relatively easy for male singers to perform.

The Dangerous Duo: Shishido Kavka

Artist Shishido Kavka—singer, drummer, model, and actress—earns overwhelming support from many women thanks to her multifaceted talent.

She’s produced several hit songs, but among them, the one that’s especially easy for men to sing is Kiken na Futari.

If I had to sum it up in a word, it feels like classic rock.

It’s a sharp, tight rock track, but the vocal line itself is simple and kept within a narrow range throughout.

Even men who can’t hit high notes can sing it without trouble, so try performing it with a bold, confident attitude.

DDDREOL

Reol is a female singer known for her solid vocal ability and catchy musical style.

While her core sound hasn’t changed much, she’s recently been shifting toward a hip-hop-influenced K-pop vibe.

Among her tracks, I especially recommend “DDD.” Although it spans a wide vocal range, most of it consists of rap parts, and the high notes in the chorus can be sung roughly with a bit of a shout, so overall it’s a song that’s relatively easy for men to sing.

[Easy to Sing] Female Songs That Sound Cool When Sung by Men (41–50)

Scrap & Build ELAIZA

The actress Elaiza Ikeda, who enjoys overwhelming support from young people, also performs as a singer under the name ELAIZA and has had several hit songs.

Among her works, the one I especially recommend is Scrap & Build.

Because her natural voice is on the lower side and the melody sits within a narrow range, it’s very easy for men to sing as well.

If you use a vocal technique that adds thickness through overtones, it will sound even better, so I recommend trying it.

If you have trouble producing overtones, place your hand in front of your mouth and adjust your singing so that you’re constantly feeling your breath flow.

In conclusion

The cool songs by recent female artists may have been more difficult compared to generally easy-to-sing tracks, simply because they demand a high level of technical skill.

Even so, in terms of vocal range, many of them were probably easier for men to sing, don’t you think? At Rug Music, we also have other rankings that focus on vocal techniques.
