For those who aren’t confident at singing, karaoke can be stressful—both deciding whether to go and what to do once you’re there.

People who love singing often keep up with new releases and dive deep into artists, but if you’re not comfortable with singing, you probably start by wondering what songs you can actually manage.

So this time, I’ve put together a list of easy-to-sing hit songs recommended for the yutori generation.

Of course, these are all famous tracks that people outside the yutori generation will likely know as well, so feel free to use this as a reference!

With this, karaoke is no longer scary! Easy-to-sing songs recommended for the Yutori Generation (11–20)

The One and Only Flower in the WorldSMAP

Despite enjoying immense popularity as a national idol group, SMAP disbanded in 2016.

Their 35th single, used as the theme song for the TV drama “Boku no Ikiru Michi,” carries a message that boosts self-esteem.

Written and composed by Noriyuki Makihara, it was released in March 2003.

In part due to the aftermath of the group’s breakup, it became a hot topic when it achieved triple million sales more than 15 years after its release.

With a narrow vocal range and a relaxed melody, it’s recommended even for those who aren’t confident singers.

As a well-known classic, it’s a song everyone can sing together at karaoke, no matter who you go with.

Shonen Kids Boy is a band whose musicality evokes a sense of lightness.

Because they lean strongly toward J-pop, they don’t require the powerful vocals typical of rock.

Their song “Let’s Kiss,” as expected, is an easy piece to sing without using a forceful voice.

The bridge has the highest range, and the chorus drops to a lower range, resulting in a relatively narrow overall vocal span.

Since it’s a pop track, it’s better to express the pop feel through articulation rather than by emphasizing contrasts in vocal range.

I love youMotoki

Motoki – I Love You (Music Video)
I love you, Motoki.

Not only as a songwriter and composer, but also as a multi-talented creator in illustration and video production, Motoki showcases his abilities.

The digital single “I Love You,” released in May 2025, is a superb track where the bittersweet, emotional guitar sound, Motoki’s clear vocals, and lyrics that portray aching feelings come together perfectly.

It’s recommended not only for fans of singer-songwriters, but also for those who enjoy so-called Japanese rock.

The melody unfolds straightforwardly and it’s easy to sing at karaoke, so definitely give it a try!

riddleRADWIMPS

Nazonazo, included on the 2009 masterpiece Altocolony no Teiri, which reached No.

2 on the Oricon charts and marked another leap forward, is a track characterized by an electro-pop-style arrangement with a certain cuteness.

Although it’s not performed often live, it remains a fan favorite, and many people likely have it in their karaoke repertoire.

While the melody doesn’t change dramatically overall, the expansiveness and poignancy of the chorus inevitably capture your heart.

When singing it at karaoke, try not to let it become too monotone—sing as if speaking to someone, feeling the message woven into the lyrics.

Me too,YUTORI-SEDAI

YUTORI-SEDAI – Me Too, [Official Music Video] (Theme Song for the Drama “I’m Being Toyed With by a Younger Virgin Guy”)
Even I am part of the yutori generation.

The trio YUTORI-SEDAI, hailing from West Tokyo, has enjoyed immense popularity among younger generations through social media since their indie days, and finally made their long-awaited major debut in April 2025.

Their track “Watashi datte,” included on their major debut EP “blanket,” was pre-released in March of the same year and chosen as the theme song for the drama “Toshishita Doutei-kun ni Honrou Saretemasu,” making it a notable release.

It’s a signature love ballad from the band, featuring poignant guitar arpeggios, strings, and piano tones.

The melody line is very straightforward, and as long as you can handle the falsetto in the chorus, you should be able to sing it without issue.

Be mindful of the gradually building melodic progression, and aim for a dynamic, well-contrasted vocal delivery.

Aimyon’s new song “Sketch.” Until a little while ago, she was releasing many slightly showy tracks that incorporated trendy J-pop, but lately she’s returned to her roots and has been focusing on folk.

This work is no exception, crafted into a gentle folk song that plays to her greatest strengths.

The vocal range is somewhat wide, but aside from a few phrases that use falsetto, it stays mostly in the midrange, making it very easy to sing overall.

It’s perfect for aiming for a high score at karaoke.

Bergamot Tomonari Sora

Singer-songwriter Sora Tomonari, born in 2002, grew up immersed in music, started writing songs at an elementary-school age, and made their debut at 18.

It’s still fresh in our minds that “Oni no Utage” became a massive hit in 2023 and made their name widely known.

Tomonari’s “Bergamot,” released in February 2025, is an impressively stylish, city-pop-tinged track, with playful lyrics that add to its chic appeal.

Songs like this might seem tricky to sing at first, but the overall pitch sits on the lower side, and once you get the hang of it—including the rap-like section in the middle—you may find it surprisingly singable.

On the other hand, if low notes aren’t your forte, you might find the A-melody especially tough; try adjusting the key to a comfortable range before tackling it at karaoke.
