[Karaoke] Collection of Japanese Songs Starting with “Mu” (231–240)

Murasakiscoop

[Hatsune Miku] Murasaki [Original Song with PV]
Murasaki Scoop

A sophisticated Vocaloid track that, while rooted in a Japanese aesthetic, also incorporates jazz and rock flavors.

Created by the popular Vocaloid producer Scop, known for works like “Irony” and “Yubikiri,” it was released in 2013.

It’s a yandere-tinged piece that sings of a love beyond “passionate,” drawing you into its sultry world.

I imagine many people enjoy songs with this kind of raw, mature atmosphere.

Among Japanese-style tracks, this one carries a Taisho-era retro vibe.

Smoke of the ChestI wish it could stay midnight forever.

Zutomayo “Smoke in the Chest” MV (ZUTOMAYO – One’s Mind)
My chest’s smoke—Zutto Mayonaka de Ii no ni.

A track by the band ZUTOMAYO (Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni), for which ACA-ne, who handles songwriting and composition, also serves as the vocalist.

It’s included on the album “Gusare,” which features many popular songs, including the theme song for the film The Promised Neverland, “Tadashiku Narenai.” Based on her signature guitar-rock style and incorporating strings, the song’s dynamic, ebb-and-flow structure keeps listeners engaged from start to finish.

Naturally, you can also enjoy her crisp, clear high-tone vocals.

Packed with these charms, this track will undoubtedly make you want to check out the other songs on the album as well!

MUSASHIZuma (Nijiiro Samurai)

[MV full] Megaton-Class Musashi / MUSASHI - Nijiiro Samurai
MUSASHI ZUMA (Nijiiro Samurai)

The feverish rap part just grabs me so hard! It’s a track sung by Zuma from the YouTuber duo Nijiiro Samurai, released digitally in 2021.

It’s the opening theme for the anime adaptation of the popular mixed-media project “Megaton-kyu Musashi.” The rough, almost growling vocals match perfectly with the sound that has a touch of funk music.

It truly feels like “the quintessential robot anime theme song.” The lyrics, which straightforwardly depict the anime’s worldview, are also fantastic!

[Aidolsai 2018] Dempagumi.inc “Moonlight Densetsu” (Assigned Song for the Area Representative Deciding Match)
Moonlight Densetsu Dempagumi.inc

I think there are mainly two features of this arrangement.

First, it has a pretty heavy sound; second, the tempo doubles right when the vocals begin.

By the way, we sometimes call this doubling of the tempo “baiten” (double-time).

The sense of speed created by the heavy sound and the double-time rhythm matches the arrangement perfectly.

Moonlight Legendmidday

[Yuzuki Yukari] Moonlight Densetsu [Cover]
Mahiru of the Moonlight Legend

Mahiru covered the well-known Moonlight Densetsu, the theme song from the TV anime Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.

Mahiru’s cover features an arrangement that evokes the Showa era.

The duo’s harmonies are lovely, and the vocals are mature and simple—highly recommended for those born in the Showa period.

Infinite TicketMarasy

[Pokemon feat. Hatsune Miku] Infinity Ticket / Marasy × Hatsune Miku × KAITO
Marasy of Infinite Tickets

It’s a song brimming with dreams and hope, as if beckoning you toward an infinite sky.

Marasy’s piano performance and the VOCALOID vocals weave a grand and beautiful harmony.

Released in February 2024, this work was created as part of the Pokémon × Hatsune Miku collaboration project “Project VOLTAGE.” Its fantastical worldview and liberating sound—like soaring through the sky—are captivating.

When everyday life wears you down, this song might gently give you a push forward.

Its warm lyrics and tones, which feel close to the heart, are sure to lift your spirits.

When it comes to what girls admire, you can’t leave out the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series.

This song is the opening theme for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, which aired in 2014, and it’s performed by the popular idol group Momoiro Clover Z.

It was released the same year as their 12th single.

If you’re looking for a song that elementary school girls can dance to, this is a great pick.

Not only is it cute, but the cool, striking sound arrangement also stands out.

It really has that Sailor Moon vibe, doesn’t it?
