Popular Karaoke: Band Ranking [2025] (71–80)
Poi poi poi pop poi poi popi—Ayaman JAPAN78rank/position

A wildly imaginative piece that astonishes listeners with its nonsensical wordplay and powerful sound.
Despite its frequent use of dirty jokes, the humorous lyrics and performance shape it into an addictive track.
Released as a single in December 2010, it was used as the ending theme for Fuji TV’s “HEY! HEY! HEY! MUSIC CHAMP,” enlivening living rooms across the nation.
Known as Ayaman JAPAN’s signature song, it also achieved commercial success, reaching No.
42 on the Oricon weekly chart.
A perfect pick when you want to hype up a party or event.
Enjoy it with the energetic choreography, and the atmosphere is guaranteed to light up instantly.
Future is YoursSambomaster79rank/position

This is the 23rd single by the three-piece rock band Sambomaster, released in August 2023.
It was selected as the theme song for the Toho-distributed animated film “New Dimension! Crayon Shin-chan THE MOVIE: Battle of Supernatural Powers ~Fly, Fly, Hand-rolled Sushi~.” Since their debut in 2004, Sambomaster has been popular for their straightforwardly simple songs and slightly comical image, and their charm remains as strong today as it was back then.
That appeal is fully present in this track we’re introducing here.
As you’d expect from their songs, the vocal part is very simple and easy to sing; as long as you’re careful not to fall behind the rhythm, many people should be able to score high—maybe even a perfect 100—at karaoke.
That said, given that the band’s basic philosophy is to record vocals in a single take, it’s probably best not to worry about scores and just have fun!
Stay GoldHi-STANDARD80rank/position

Hi-STANDARD’s classic “Stay Gold.” Characterized by a uniquely creative sound that blends alternative rock with hardcore punk and melodic hardcore, it became a massive hit in the 1990s.
The most singable aspect of this track is, above all, its rough vocals.
Instead of delicate vocal control, it leans on gritty, hard-edged singing, which gives you a fair bit of leeway.
The louder your vocal timbre, the more this song shines—so consider adding it to your repertoire.

MARIONETTEBOØWY81rank/position

For men in their early 50s, BOØWY may have been an object of admiration.
Their songs are still often sung at karaoke, aren’t they? MARIONETTE is one of BOØWY’s signature tracks.
Kyosuke Himuro is known for his distinctive vocal technique of restraining volume to make hitting high notes easier, and this song strongly reflects that trait.
For slightly higher phrases like his, deliberately lowering your volume helps you align your pitch smoothly.
Since there are very few long sustained notes, it’s also recommended for those who aren’t confident in their lung capacity.
The world is falling in loveCHiCO with HoneyWorks82rank/position

From a male perspective, the song that makes me think “A woman who sings this is so cute.
.
.” is ‘Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru.
’ It was released in 2014 by CHiCO with HoneyWorks, known for producing numerous love songs.
It was used as the opening theme for the anime Blue Spring Ride (Ao Haru Ride), so at karaoke with people in their 20s, it could spark lively conversation like, “Have you seen that anime?” The story, which portrays a heart-fluttering youthful romance, is adorable.
With its pop melody, it’s a track where love picks up speed.
If you want to capture a man’s heart, definitely give it a try.
Driver’s HighL’Arc〜en〜Ciel83rank/position

L’Arc~en~Ciel’s 17th single.
A single cut from the classic album “ark,” it was also used as the opening theme for the TV anime GTO.
Kicking off with the roar of a car engine and shifting into a high-velocity guitar sound, the arrangement heightens the anticipation for the extraordinary journey ahead.
True to the theme vocalist and lyricist hyde described—“the exhilaration of driving while listening to music”—it rekindles that invincible rush we felt back then, as if we could break free from mundane days and go anywhere.
It’s a perfect rock tune not only for a refreshing drive scene, but also for switching your mood.
If I sing to the sky175R84rank/position

175R is a rock band that made its major debut in 2003.
They announced a hiatus in 2010, but resumed activities in 2016 and continue to perform at many festivals and play live shows.
When you think of 175R, many people probably think first of this song, Sora ni Utaeba.
The song overall gives the impression of having many long tones, which really bring out vocalist SHOGO’s higher register.
The vocal range spans an octave and a half from F3 to B4, which might feel a bit high for male singers.
That said, the song starts mostly in the lower range, so as long as you can handle the rapid, wordy line at the end of the chorus, it’s a very satisfying song to sing.
It builds even more toward the end with call-and-response parts, so definitely give it a try when you want to hype things up at karaoke.
