Dear My FriendEvery Little Thing

This is Every Little Thing’s third single, “Dear My Friend,” which debuted in 1996.

With this song, they won the Japan Record Award and broke into the Oricon Top 10 for the first time, leading to a major breakthrough.

People in their 40s who listened to this track in 1997 were teenagers at the time, and many likely longed for that glittering, heart-racing world.

It feels nostalgic now, but let this familiar, up-tempo song lift your spirits and get you pumped.

It’s a feel-good track I highly recommend.

Known by the abbreviation “Buriguri” and now active as vocalist Tomoko Kawase’s solo project, the musical unit the brilliant green.

Their third single, “There will be love there -Ai no Aru Basho-,” used as the theme song for the TV drama Love Again, is one of Buriguri’s signature tracks and marked their best sales to date.

Its beautiful vocals and dramatic melody retain their charm even as times change.

With its simple melody, it’s a timeless classic we hope people of all generations will sing at karaoke.

Top Of The WorldCarpenters66rank/position

This is a classic Carpenters song that’s often recommended for studying English.

In Japan, it’s been used as background music in various situations, and there are even versions with the lyrics translated into Japanese, so it’s a song many people know! Because the English lyrics are easy to understand, even those who haven’t sung it before can learn it quickly with a little practice.

Its upbeat, bright tempo makes it really enjoyable to listen to.

Since it’s well-known and easy for anyone to sing, it’s sure to liven things up if everyone at karaoke sings it together!

First Love Utada Hikaru

Hikaru Utada’s “Hatsukoi” is a single released in 2018.

Many women in their 40s probably remember her debut days.

Of course, the songs from that time are wonderful, but she’s a songstress who has continued to create increasingly delicate and artistic music as the years go by.

Brimming with her many charms, this track was reportedly written as the image song for the TBS drama “Hana Nochi Hare: Hanadan Next Season.” Sink into Hikaru Utada’s world with its calm atmosphere, and enjoy singing it comfortably!

Flare Superfly

Superfly’s “Flare,” which was used as the theme song for the 2019 NHK morning drama series “Scarlet,” was released in 2019.

The lyrics feel as if they cheer on women in their 40s who are busy with childcare and work, and the melody’s bright, Latin-like rhythm lifts your spirits just by listening.

So when you’re busy and starting to feel worn out, please try singing this song.

You’ll receive sun-like brightness and energy from it!

JoyfulIkimonogakari69rank/position

Joyful Ikimonogakari

It’s a classic song for getting everyone hyped at karaoke! The overall range is G#3 to D#5, which is a bit wide, but the high parts are only in a few spots, and most of it sits in the mid range, so I think it’s relatively easy to sing.

A key tip for hitting the high notes is to use strong accents.

For example, when you throw a dart at a target, don’t you aim at the target, take a short approach, and then throw? Do the same when producing your voice: inhale, prepare, build momentum, and then release the sound.

That creates a solid accent and helps your voice come out comfortably.

The high notes only appear in certain parts, but the same melody comes up repeatedly, so be mindful at those moments and really project your voice.

You’ll definitely have fun singing it!

ShipwreckAkina Nakamori70rank/position

This is a song written and composed by Tokiko Kato and provided to Akina.

It was released in 1987 as Akina’s 19th single.

To be frank, this song has a low pitch.

If you don’t sing it in a key that suits you, it will end up sounding like you’re chanting a spell.
