This song is filled with the joy of celebrating youth and freedom, and just listening to it makes your heart start to dance.

You can feel the exhilaration of becoming the star of the dance floor through the lyrics.

Released as a single in Sweden in August 1976, it went on to become a worldwide hit.

It remains a beloved classic to this day, appearing in works like the film “Mamma Mia!”.

Of ABBA’s 14 Top 40 hits, this is said to be the only one that reached number one in the United States.

Why not let the music carry you and sing along with a smile, as you reminisce about a nostalgic page of your youth?

Adele – Hello (Official Music Video)

This song was covered by Taka from ONE OK ROCK, and one of my male students practiced it a lot in our lessons! It was the Taka version, but as he kept practicing, he was able to hit the high notes in the chorus cleanly and comfortably.

So it might be a good practice piece, and it’s also a song that feels amazing to sing once you can do it, so I recommend it! The A and B sections are basically low and gentle, but the chorus jumps into high notes, so the trick is to sing without tensing up.

You might feel like belting, but imagine sending the sound far out.

There are also falsetto ad-libs, so if you keep resonating in the space between your eyebrows and the top of your head, switching between chest voice and falsetto will become smoother.

Try to stay mindful of lifting your facial muscles as you sing!

It’s a medium-tempo song with a great groove, making it a perfect pick for karaoke.

However, it’s actually a breakup song that declares there’s absolutely no getting back together.

While breakup songs tend to be somber, it’s nice to have an upbeat one like this too.

The chorus is especially fun to harmonize on with everyone.

RoarKaty Perry5rank/position

It’s a song that says goodbye to a life spent reading people’s faces and doing whatever you’re told, and embraces living the way you want, taking responsibility for yourself.

Set to bright pop music, it celebrates that spirit of independence.

Released in 2013, it became a global hit.

Highly recommended.

Cyndi Lauper’s classic hit, “Time After Time.” Released in 1983, it even won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year.

This song is hugely popular—it’s a timeless classic still loved today.

If you know Cyndi Lauper, you probably know her voice is incredibly high.

Thinking, “Uh, high notes aren’t really my thing”? Don’t worry.

This song still works even if you sing it in a whispery voice.

In other words, as long as you capture the vibe, it will sound good.

The trick when singing it is just the English pronunciation! As long as your pronunciation is solid, you can simply sing it softly, almost like a whisper, and you’re good to go.

A Thousand MilesVanessa Carlton7rank/position

The hit song “A Thousand Miles” by popular singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton.

Even if you don’t know it in detail, many of you probably recognize the intro, right? This song is a classic pop tune.

To be frank, it’s incredibly easy to sing.

In Western music, there are melodies that feel unfamiliar to Japanese listeners, right? That’s what makes them hard.

But this song is different.

It’s packed with phrases you’d hear in Japanese pop.

In other words, it’s easy to sing even with a Japanese sense of rhythm and melody.

You don’t even need vibrato.

As long as you pay attention to pronunciation and how you start each phrase, anyone can sing it!
