The Weeknd Popular Song Rankings [2025] (11–20)
Love Me HarderAriana Grande, The Weeknd15rank/position

One of the signature songs by next-generation diva Ariana Grande, “Love Me Harder.” Released in 2014, this track is a collaboration with Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd.
It’s no exaggeration to say that this song helped raise The Weeknd’s profile.
The lyrics depict a man and a woman becoming captivated by distorted expressions of love.
Its dreamy sound further draws listeners into the song’s world.
Die For YouThe Weeknd16rank/position

Die For You is a track marked by a hefty beat and The Weeknd’s light, soaring vocals.
It’s one of the songs included on The Weeknd’s acclaimed 2016 album Starboy.
The music video for the track was released about five years later, on November 25, 2021.
The song brims with passionate sentiment—“I could die for you.” Let yourself get swept away by this sweet love song, delivered with The Weeknd’s cool, captivating voice!
Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)The Weeknd17rank/position

The Canadian singer The Weeknd wrote “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” for the film Avatar: The Way of Water.
The lyrics reflect the film’s story and depict the sorrow of losing a loved one.
If you understand the story beforehand, the song will hit even harder.
Also note how it samples tribal ritual chants to match the film’s world.
SacrificeThe Weeknd18rank/position

Just listening to that ’80s-style synth-pop and disco sound lifts your mood and makes you want to start dancing, doesn’t it? It’s also become something of a modern trend, and when it comes to artists who’ve skillfully woven those elements into their own music, The Weeknd is the standout.
Celebrated as a leading figure in so-called alternative R&B, in recent years he’s presented a sound that updates those ’80s elements for the 2020s, achieving major success along with a cohesive, conceptual aesthetic.
From his January 2022 album Dawn FM, let’s highlight the undeniable electro-funk classic Sacrifice, with its uptempo beat and irresistibly catchy melody.
Sampling Alicia Myers’s oft-quoted 1981 track I Want to Thank You, and featuring melody lines that pay homage to Michael Jackson, it’s a killer tune in every sense.
Why not put this song on and head out for a spirited drive?
One Of The GirlsThe Weeknd, JENNIE, Lily-Rose Depp19rank/position

The Weeknd, an R&B singer who keeps delivering global hits.
If you follow Western music in Japan, you’ve probably heard his songs at least once.
Among his works, the one I especially recommend is One Of The Girls.
This track is currently popular on TikTok and Instagram, and overseas it’s already becoming a staple for Reels.
Its flowing, synthwave-driven sound is perfect for leisure or travel-themed Reels, so if you’re looking for BGM for your Reels, be sure to check it out.

One Right NowPost Malone, The Weeknd21rank/position

Released in November 2021, One Right Now is a collaboration between Post Malone and The Weeknd, two artists who command enormous support in the contemporary pop scene.
Built on a sleek synth-pop track that reflects a post-2020s trend, the interplay of Malone’s and The Weeknd’s emotional vocals and melodies creates a stunning contrast—truly exquisite.
Lyrically, however, it seems to be a message to an ex whose infidelity likely caused the breakup, conveying a sense of saying goodbye to the past relationship and already having someone new.
That said, depending on how you interpret it, it can also read as the poignant lament of a man still full of lingering attachment, unable to fully move on.
With that in mind—perhaps reading too much into it—the music video, in which the two stage a brutal shootout, feels oddly suggestive as well.
