Masterpieces with Titles Starting with “Ru” (41–50)
Rookie feat. Hatsune MikuDECO*27

DECO*27 is one of Japan’s leading Vocaloid producers.
He’s known for a wide musical range, from pop-oriented Vocaloid tracks to rock-centered sounds.
If you’re a teenage girl who likes Vocaloid, you’ve probably heard at least one of his songs.
Among his works, the one I especially recommend is “Rookie feat.
Hatsune Miku.” Although the song features many key changes, the post-modulation melodies are very easy to sing, so they don’t pose a major challenge.
The rhythm is easy to catch, and for a Vocaloid track the vocal range is relatively narrow, so definitely give it a try.

LUVORATORRRRRY!Giga・Reol

It’s a passionate love song with lyrics that plead, “Want me more and more!” The track is by Giga (aka gigaP) and Reol, who is also active as a vocalist, and it was released in 2014.
It was written specifically for the club event VOCALOID LABORATORY (Vocalabo).
It’s a very upbeat EDM number that really gets you hyped when you listen to it.
And the lyrics are just so cute! There must be a lot of men who’d love to be told something like this by a girl.
Room shareOSTER project

“Room Share” is a song by OSTER project released in April 2024.
With its gentle vocals and cozy melody, it’s a delightfully light and breezy piece.
The illustration is by mani, and the video by Meira.
The lyrics portray the relationship of two people sharing a room, and you can’t help but feel warm inside.
The euphoric electronic sound is irresistible, too.
It might be the perfect Vocaloid track to kick off a new chapter in life.
Jolly Rice Ball ChivalryOmusubiman (Shino Yanagi)

Omusubiman is a wandering traveler and samurai—one of Anpanman World’s most unorthodox figures—whose strength is said to rival Anpanman’s.
His outsider status within the Bread World has made him a fan favorite.
This theme song is richly Japanese in flavor, evoking the winds of Omusubi Pass, and deftly capturing his period-drama-style lines and mature demeanor—sure to tug at the heartstrings of Japanese listeners.
Lupin the Third Theme Song IICharlie Kosei

The ending theme of the first season of the popular anime Lupin the Third.
Its soulful, 1970s rock sound and Charlie Kosei’s sexy vocals create an adult atmosphere, despite being an anime.
The whistling that runs in unison with the vocals calls to mind another signature piece by composer Takeo Yamashita: the theme from Ooka Echizen.
Lura luraHITORIE

HITORIE is a rock band formed around wowaka, who is also highly acclaimed as a Vocaloid producer.
They deliver edgy, sensational rock to their listeners.
Among their songs, the perfect one for letting off steam is “Rurarura.” It was included on their 2012 album Room Sick Girls Escape.
The technical band performance driven by a four-on-the-floor drum beat is addictively catchy.
Why not channel a festival or live-house frontman and belt it out?
RumorPolis Piccadilly

A super stylish Vocaloid tune that will make you crave a sweet-and-sour fizzy soda! It’s a 2019 track by Police Piccadilly, the Vocaloid producer behind hits like “Kire Carrion.” This electric number has a soft, airy vibe, featuring GUMI’s distinctively tongue-twisting vocal tuning.
Its urbane sonic approach is sure to resonate with trend-savvy listeners in their twenties.
