Recommended Russian artists: Popular international singers and singer-songwriters

Russia is a country that enjoys overwhelming support in classical and metal music.

In Japan, there isn’t much of a culture of listening to foreign music other than English and Korean, so many people may not be familiar with it, but the Russian music scene actually boasts world-class quality.

This time, I’ve picked out some artists and bands that are active in Russia.

I’ve selected songs from a wide range of genres, so please try finding a favorite artist.

Also, the war between Russia and Ukraine is ongoing.

SKIBIDILITTLE BIG

LITTLE BIG – SKIBIDI (official music video)
SKIBIDILITTLE BIG

For those who love raves, I’d like to recommend the Russian band Little Big.

They debuted in 2013 and have since held world tours in the United States, Europe, and beyond.

If you’re even a little familiar with rave culture, you’ve probably heard of them.

For those who don’t know, a “rave” isn’t a music genre—it refers to a large-scale music event.

In other words, a “rave band” is a band that mainly plays at big music events.

As you’d expect from a group that frequently appears at such events, their sound is incredibly energetic, so if you like EDM or house, definitely check them out.
