Masterpieces that sing of Saga. A selection of songs related to Saga Prefecture (21–30)
Yaite, yaite, SagaSelf-styled Tourism Association

This is a lovable track that captures the charm of Saga Prefecture with the sprightly sounds of guitalele and ocarina, paired with lyrics that are sure to make you chuckle.
Created by the duo Miura Jun and Anzai Hajime under their unit “Katte ni Kanko Kyokai” (The Unofficial Tourism Association), the song parades a series of local icons, from Yobuko’s squid to Arita porcelain and the Yoshinogari archaeological site.
The uniquely witty lyrics make you feel as if you’re traveling through Saga just by listening.
The track is part of a project in which they traveled nationwide to create local songs, and it’s included on the album “Katte ni Kanko Kyokai Vol.
3: Gotochi Song CD Kanketsu-hen,” released in February 2008.
Their production style—recording at inns while on the road—likely contributes to the song’s warm yet laid-back vibe.
It’s recommended not only for those connected to Saga, but also for anyone who wants to feel uplifted on a drive.
Be sure to experience this humor-filled world for yourself!
Oshin's LullabyAkiko Kanazawa

At first glance, the nationally beloved show Oshin doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Saga, but Saga was where Oshin lived for a time at her husband’s family home.
However, because of the mother-in-law’s relentless bullying, the image of Saga itself ended up being tarnished.
It’s unfortunate—her in-laws’ home could have been set anywhere.
It’s A Green DreamSaga Racecourse Image Song

It seems to be a familiar image song for horse racing fans at Saga Racecourse.
It refreshingly portrays the greenery of the track and really gives a sense of dreams.
Even if you’re not into horse racing, you can enjoy it as a youth anthem.
Before this song, it seems that a song by Saburo Kitajima was played.
Dramatic Saga CityYohei Omori

This Saga song makes you think, “So that’s how you’re going to do it.” The city of Saga serves as a backdrop centered on its people, creating the drama strictly in a supporting role.
Thinking about it that way, the city doesn’t need any embellishment—the protagonists are the people—and it really struck me anew.
Time MagicMakiko Yamazaki

This is the theme song for Hizen Yume Kaido, an Edo-period-themed amusement park in Ureshino Onsen.
It seems to have been used in commercials for over 15 years, and the singing has a nostalgic feel that really makes you feel like you’re time-traveling.
It looks like a fun place, with attractions like a ninja house.
Moon, oh Moon (Saga Prefecture Moon Song)Iwao Yamaguchi

It’s a nursery rhyme.
They’re asking the moon why the stars aren’t out.
Maybe the reason it feels a bit eerie in the pitch-dark, late night is that it’s not a child’s singing voice.
Or is it telling us to go to bed early? It sparks the imagination.
Sazae-san Saga Prefecture ver.Sazae-san Theme Song

In the opening, Sazae-san is always traveling around the country.
In this episode, the places chosen in Saga are especially rich in natural beauty.
Because each spot has a different character, it really stirs your wanderlust and makes you want to visit them all.
Traveling with Sazae-san also seems lively and fun.
