LieNEW!Sid

No matter the generation, there are surely people who were deeply immersed in visual kei rock bands.
For men in their 30s, many might think of SID as a popular visual kei band.
Their song “Uso” is one of their signature works, and its Japanese-style melody, alongside bands like Kiryu, helped create a distinct movement.
For those unfamiliar with V-kei, the song may be best known as a theme for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist.
It’s a piece that both anime fans and SID fans can get excited about together, so consider adding it to your repertoire.
HANABINEW!Mr.Children

Mr.
Children is a band that arguably the Heisei generation listened to the most.
Whether you’re in your 30s born in the Showa era or in your 30s born in the Heisei era, you’ve probably sung one of their songs at least once.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend is HANABI.
It features a chorus full of excitement, yet the pitch movement is relatively steady, so you can sing it at an after-party karaoke without pushing yourself too hard.
However, it does include quite a few low G-sharp notes, so a certain depth in vocal range is required.
LOSERNEW!Kenshi Yonezu

Kenshi Yonezu’s iconic song “LOSER.” The music video drew attention for his own dancing, and the track became one that showcased Yonezu’s artistry to the public.
Though released in 2016, it remains highly popular today, earning strong support not only from people in their 20s but also from those in their 30s.
The track has a somewhat cyber vibe, and despite the title’s “loser” theme, the lyrics are crafted to be uplifting—making it a perfect fit for those in their 30s who often face many challenges in the working world.
Dance, please.DISH//

DISH//’s masterpiece “Odoryanse,” released for streaming in September 2025.
It’s a highly unique track, featuring a deliberately shallow, distinctive autotune applied throughout.
While the overall flow leans toward J-rock, the pre-chorus shifts into a slightly reggae-like feel, and the chorus unfolds with a somewhat visual kei-style, heavy, oozing melody.
Because the song packs so many shifts into a single track, it’s not the easiest to sing, but it’s a piece you can definitely expect to get a crowd fired up.
A full moon that only blooms at nightONE OK ROCK

The first major-label masterpiece, Zeitakubyou.
This track, “A Full Moon That Only Blooms at Night,” is included on that classic.
Being an early work, the album has a very strong Japanese rock flavor, and among its songs, this one is exceptionally easy to sing.
The vocal range is narrow at mid1 G# to hi C#, and the pitch movement isn’t too drastic.
However, since there tend to be few natural break points, make sure to plan your breathing spots in advance.
Other than that, there aren’t any particularly difficult sections, so definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
Killer tune!Yo Oizumi

It’s a song released exclusively for digital distribution on August 14, 2025, and since it was created as the CM song for “LIVE DAM WAO!,” the theme is karaoke.
It sounds like a track that would really hype people up when you actually sing it at karaoke! Plus, it’s a fresh, uptempo number, so I think it’ll really shine in a karaoke setting.
There are a lot of words in the lyrics, so it’ll probably be easier to sing if you memorize a good portion beforehand.
In particular, the chorus has rap-like, rhyming lines, so once you lock into the rhythm, it should be easier to sing.
If you’re feeling it in 4/4, putting an accent on the first beat of the intro will give it a driving, punchy groove that’s easy to ride.
Rather than trying to articulate every single word, let the lyrics flow with the melody! When you’re learning the song, I recommend humming it—try it while staying relaxed.
Deeper DeeperONE OK ROCK

The 2013 release “Deeper Deeper.” The vocal range in this piece is mid2B to hiB, so the range itself isn’t particularly wide.
However, the overall pitch is very high, so male singers should take caution.
Additionally, the highest note, hiB, appears more than 40 times in total, requiring strong vocal stamina.
Fortunately, there are hardly any sustained high notes, so focus on cleanly executing each individual high-pitched phrase.
